With only 39 copies officially distributed, this card was crafted as the prize for the CoroCoro Comic Illustration Contest held in 1997/98. In July 2021, a similar Gem Mint 10 Pokémon Illustrator (graded by another third-party grader) set a world record as the most expensive Pokémon card ever sold/traded (deal value est. $5.275 million.) The card artwork of Pikachu holding a paintbrush was done by none other than the creator of Pikachu, Atsuko Nishida. The Katakana characters have been inscribed
along side the other card data on the top of the transparent TAG slab.

@itzLuzuki We don’t have any specific expansion dates or locations to announce just yet, but we know there’s a strong and growing community throughout the EU and appreciate the interest!

MORE ACCESSIBLE TAG GRADING IS BACK.

The TAG backlog is now 96% reduced from its peak, and today we’re reopening additional grading tiers starting at $39.95/card. Nearly all, if not all, remaining backlog orders have now made their way through Grading and are in Verification.

We’ve also rebuilt the submission experience to make choosing your service, card type, shipping, and protection clearer before checkout.

As a limited reopening, we’ll be monitoring volume closely to protect turnaround times, and availability may change as capacity fills.

@frisko4one5 The service tier names have changed but rest assured it should not impact any existing orders!
