i love how cortis’ lyrics never feel like they’re trying too hard. you can tell they’re writing about what they know, what they’ve felt, & what they’ve lived. they’re not trying to sound cool or fit some image. they’re simply being themselves.. #authenticity always wins.

i think what makes cortis different from other groups is that they’re very open about who they work with when making music and where they draw their inspiration from. they also try to be respectful and humble. i’ve read and watched their interviews, and i’ve never seen them be boastful. they know the success they’ve achieved, but they still make an effort to appreciate and acknowledge other artists.

aside from that, they’re very honest with themselves. they don’t make songs about things they don’t know or have never experienced. they also don’t stick to just one genre because they want to experiment with music and try new things.

i think, as artists, we should accept that nothing can ever be fully or 100% original. but when we use our creativity in wonderful ways, we can still create something beyond what people expect.

music is music, but music itself isn’t just a simple term. it’s VAST. there are so many possibilities, genres, influences, and ways to express ourselves through it. instead of claiming that we started something we didn’t, wouldn’t it be better to simply acknowledge the artists and influences that came before us?

he said it himself that he rarely goes shopping, prefers buying buy one take one items, and even used a hybe paper bag as his everyday bag during the manifesto: day one promotions. if I'm not mistaken, he carried that iconic paper bag for quite a while and only stopped after becoming a prada ambassador. he also utilized an empty eye mask box to store his snacks.

he is a proud outfit repeater. he's the type of person who prefers spending money to what he actually needs. he always cherished all the things that he bought. he really make sure that he used it all very very well.

he said he can't buy expensive clothes, but, as you can see, he willingly spent 230 Million KRW (9.7M php) for donations that helped people in need, from his own pocket and hard-earned savings since debut. despite having less solo opportunities, he still spent that big amount of money to give back and help people, when he could've just save it for himself.
