just to remind you all discord in the UK already does this and within 2 months of the system being in place, the company in charge of the system was hacked and thousands of ID's were leaked. They lie about deleting the photos you send.

Discords age verification requirement is just a way to force users to tie their discord accounts to their legal identities

This is real id without the title, it is going to be used against you the moment it becomes viable.

Not to mention discord has already had motor data breaches, the difference now is instead of having just names and emails to steal they can steal government ID too !!

May sound extreme, but the tech industry - and many currently operating governments - have shown us that we live among too many greedy, evil people to not consider this as a possibility.
