Mike Hesson's decision to bowl Saad Masood in the second over of the powerplay (overs 1–6) against India was a disaster. He conceded 24 runs, and Saim Ayub's 23 runs in the 19th over cost Pakistan the final.

In T20 International (T20I) cricket history, right-arm leg-spinners bowl 5.50% of their total deliveries during the Powerplay (Overs 1–6), while the remaining 94.50% are bowled after the Powerplay (Overs 7–20).

Because of the aggressive fielding restrictions in the first six overs, captains traditionally rely heavily on fast bowlers or finger spinners, preferring to reserve right-arm wrist-spinners as a primary attacking weapon for the middle and death overs.

Saad Masood bowled the 11th over later, conceding 5 runs, and then the 13th over, conceding 4 runs. So in 2 overs he gave away 9 runs. This shows that right-arm leg spinners are more successful in the middle phase.

This is Pakistan's best ever T20i side. They need to fix bits and pieces and should give this side at least 2 years (obs farhan is not captain material). Over reliance on all-rounders cost pak the asia cup, wc and this game as well.

These 6 overs were the difference between two teams. Pakistan’s reliance on all-rounders and picking bowlers due to their bat ability cost them this game. Mind you Pakistan scored 192 with just 6 wkts down. Batting depth is over-rated in T20s. Have a proper bowl attack pls!!!
