"Leadership is language". Words are powerful tools that energise or deflate, inspire or dishearten. When we talk about "resources" rather than "people", or use "they" rather than "we" or say someone is lazy or use "must" or "have to" or abbreviations excessively, we set the culture. There are some great examples of leadership teams identifying words they want to use more & less often & holding each other to account for it: https://t.co/46cl1VGwTF Via @ant_murphy@noelito
@beadle_fran@wendy_dearing thank you for having that cup of coffee all those years ago and coming up with the idea for an MSc in Digital Transformation Skills for @UWTSD. I am immensely proud to have been part of the inaugural 2021 cohort, and so pleased to say I passed!!
50% of people taking part in remote meetings multitask during the meetings (and we are doing more of it). Here is an excellent research-based article from @asana to remind us why we should try not to multitask. It's bad for our productivity & our mental health. It creates burnout: "Every single time we switch there is a cost. It's draining. It's taking longer to do the same thing".
