"We're watching and monitoring it closely."
Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirms U.S. officials are closely tracking reports of a suspected plague breach at a Russian research laboratory.
The concern follows reports that a Russian lab technician was infected and died, triggering localized quarantine measures in the region. U.S. health and security agencies are actively monitoring the potential risk of containment failure.
"I don't think it's cause for alarm, but it is cause for focus and a cause to just keep an eye on. And we're doing that."
.@POTUS: "The lack of refineries is the problem. We have tremendous amounts of oil coming out of the Hormuz Strait — we have that so good — but we have a lack of refineries because of the war, having to do mostly with diesel."
BREAKING: Dan Ives says 2027 could be Tesla’s “golden year” with Robotaxi, and Optimus.
• Ives sees Tesla transforming from an EV maker into a “true AI player,” with autonomous driving and robotics driving its next chapter.
• Tesla beat Q3 delivery expectations, with demand stabilizing and Europe bouncing back.
• Model 3 and Model Y accounted for 98% of deliveries and remain Tesla’s core growth drivers.
• Ives expects Robotaxi expansion into more cities in early to mid 2027.
• He sees the Cybercab launch as a key step in taking Tesla’s autonomous driving business to the next level.
• He expects Optimus humanoid robots to follow in the second half of 2027.
• He puts the chance of a Tesla and SpaceX merger by the end of 2027 above 80%.
Jason Oppenheim, founder of Oppenheim Group ($5B+ in real estate sales), just sold his Bentley for a @Tesla Model Y and is so blown away by FSD that he’s buying Teslas for 10 employees:
"This is the most important video I've ever posted. Tesla's self-driving is life-changing. It's so safe. I was on the phone with my brother last night, and I made him buy one. He literally bought one while we were talking. I'm buying 10 of my employees a Tesla with FSD. It's 8x safer than the average driver. There's nothing more important than the safety of you and your loved ones. Let's make our communities safer. I hope you'll at least consider going and getting a test drive."
I've been saying for a couple months now that FSD has become a material driver of Tesla sales in North America. Some people said it's just been anecdotal evidence, but more and more videos and stories like this are popping up. It's not anecdotal anymore. Word is spreading fast. FSD is going mainstream.

Trump makes a quick pitch to reporters for ending the twice-a-year clock change, arguing it's expensive, creates problems and could even have an impact on crime.
"When you have light, you have much less crime," Trump says.
He then points to the overwhelming House vote and puts pressure on Sen. Tom Cotton: "He shouldn't be holding it."
