From the ashes of old gaming message boards & IRC/ICQ/MSN in the 90s, I am takeda_jrm. Retro Games: Mortal Kombat | Tomb Raider | Diablo | Star Wars | Doom

First release of 2026! Started writing this last September for the album I had to basically start over from scratch. On the bright side, I'm much happier with my music now than I was when I first started this album a few years ago. Growth! 🙏🏻

Beautifully done! 👏🏼

Here's a little snippet of what I'm working on, still a work in progress! #mortalkombat

[takeda_jrm @takeda_jrm]

@WillOFireFox @RinoTheBouncer Really love the Gameboy top down versions of Zelda. Zelda Link's Awakening is one of the best games in Zelda. But everything 3D afterwards, didn't really love. So easy to get lost in the 3D world, or run out of time *ahem Majora's Mask*

[takeda_jrm @takeda_jrm]

@MrJfromWNC @YorchTorchGames Yep! I was in the AK (Angel Knights) guild. Those were some incredible times!

[takeda_jrm @takeda_jrm]

@thebrokenlaser @Aluminum54 @JRyanMoat Thank you, brother! Happy New Year. Can't wait for all of your upcoming projects.

Huge shoutout to Player 2 Games and More (@Aluminum54). I needed to restore my #mortalkombat longbox cases and Player 2 Games and More had exactly what I needed. A cool T-1000 Terminator 2 collector card by Impel was also in the box. For ALL of your console and gaming needs, check his storefront out: https://t.co/ORS0aimN5j

The Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 was my first card. Absolute gem. EAX effects, changing voice from male to female, or female to male was a fun way to hear music in a new way. And those Soundfonts... dreamy!

[Ryan Moat @JRyanMoat]

I will always be a dedicated soundcard kind of guy, especially for gaming. Yes, I use pro audio hardware interfaces for recording music, and I use @soundblaster for gaming and audio playback for mixes up to 7.1 surround. I've been a fan since the 90s. Thanks @CreativeLabs!

[takeda_jrm @takeda_jrm]

@JRyanMoat @soundblaster @CreativeLabs Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 was my first card, miss those EAX effects and Soundfonts!

[takeda_jrm @takeda_jrm]

Absolutely brilliant! Round One... FIGHT!

Diablo I and Diablo II - The epitome of Diablo's story. I still remember the haunting screams in Diablo 1, terrified of the Butcher & Skeleton King, and only ever meeting Lachdanan once in all the years I've played Diablo. When Diablo II came along, I joined the AngelKnights [AK] clan on @Diablo @battlenet. Did you join a clan for Diablo, StarCraft, or Warcraft?

So grateful Diablo II: Resurrected was released by @Blizzard_Ent. Perhaps one day we'll get a Diablo I: Resurrected so many people can see what started it all and why it's one of the most amazing games! Love those cinematics too.

@TaphneM Junk. That's definitely not Lara.

[takeda_jrm @takeda_jrm]

@RicheeRockets @MaarsComics @TheGoldenDays Sounds like a D1 remaster needs to happen! We have a D2 remaster!

[takeda_jrm @takeda_jrm]

@iKarma95 @McDonalds @Diablo It is pretty tough, not to mention a little bit freaky in Diablo's Innermost Sanctum. 😂 Actually all of the Prime Evils are crazy tough and you never know what to expect playing through the first time.

[takeda_jrm @takeda_jrm]

@Stranger_Things How wrong is dead wrong? Should we all be dead? We'll, I'm watching again from S1 to S5 (part one) before the launch of part 2 just to be sure! 🫣😁

[takeda_jrm @takeda_jrm]

@MaarsComics @TheGoldenDays It makes it all the more, without spoiling anything, sad. People don't often play D1 and D2, but start from D3 and yet D1/D2 is the foundation and story. Those echoing screams in D1... so haunting.

Did you ever play Summoner by THQ and Volition? Both of the original companies defunct, and THQ acquired by Nordic Games @THQNordic. The story and music was incredible, and yet, there were periods in this game that I have no idea how I made it through some of the battles. Incredible memories!
