Under @KamalaHarris, both of these men would have full access to your daughter's locker room. Let that sink in.
Moms, vote for your daughter's privacy and safety in November.
@ByronYork@RCPolitics Where's the post-announcement bump?
Maybe there is no bump because Harris is a known quantity. She's been the VP for four years and she's been in the public eye.
What's more, the public doesn't like her. Her approval ratings have been consistently terrible for years.
Some in the press seem very excited about the presidential polls, but to say it's too early is an understatement. In @RCPolitics average, every relevant poll began on Monday, when people barely knew what was going on. Takes a while for news to sink in. We're not there yet.
@CathyYoung63@NewsdayOpinion it's an important issue? Well, Harris seems to think that recasting herself as a law and order type will help her election odds. Is she politically incompetent?
@CathyYoung63@NewsdayOpinion Because the economy is soaking up all the oxygen in the room? Not that is great news for any incumbent either.
_Relatively_ speaking crime may rank lower than the economy, but that's because people are really, really worried about the economy.
In terms of whether people think
Excellent Dwarkesh interview with @patio11.
Enraging that we argue about stupid stuff while memory holing that we prosecuted doctors for giving people vaccines instead of throwing them out. We tried to allocated vaccines "ethically" at the cost of lives. We botched the last mile delivery.
@jaycaspiankang Illegal immigration is actually an issue that voters are worried about. Is talking about her family background anything more than a distraction?
If she can't win on the issues of the economy, illegal immigration and crime then what's the strategy?
@CathyYoung63@NewsdayOpinion to downplay all three issues. Hence, inflation has receded, illegal immigration is falling, crime is at record lows.
If crime is at record lows why would the public care about enforcement? Or am I missing something?
@CathyYoung63@NewsdayOpinion I think the consensus is that the biggest issues for "normie" voters are the economy, illegal immigration and crime--all of which are significant negatives for the incumbent administration.
It's dishonest not to acknowledge the significant efforts put forward by Democrats
That Kamala Harris (like Biden) feels the need to define "middle class" at $400,000 is a testament to how comprehensively the GOP has won the argument on individual tax rates since 1980. https://t.co/wv6L1EVV00
Trump carrying the Olympic torch for the 2004 Athenian games. Many are acclaiming him the Dikastes Basileus, and calling for Trump to reconsecrate the Eleusinian Mysteries! Many are saying this in the agora.
@Upgradez@jonathanchait What was the homicide rate in 2019? What was the homicide rate in 2022?
Crime isn't even at a three year low.
Ask Mayor Adams in NYC about whether illegal immigration is low.
Aggregate price increases due to inflation are higher than aggregate wage gains.
