To have to spend $ on cabs to go back to the airport, spend my time having someone inspect my bags, all the while putting my vacation on hold for an extended time. Not sure what happened to destroy my bags so badly, but the process to mitigate this shouldn’t be this difficult.
Dear @WestJet , I can understand that accidents happen when it comes to moving thousands of bags every day. But I’ve been told I cannot claim any damages unless I go back to the airport and have someone inspect my bags. No online or phone claims. This is tough on vacation

@WestJet I did. They said it wasn’t damaged ‘enough’. I wasn’t aware that luggage that costs $100s (multiple) was expected to be damaged from its first flight. How silly of me to think that care would be taken with other people’s property.
@WestJet this is why we can’t have nice things when flying with WestJet. Luggage services says this doesn’t count as damage. Brand new luggage but who cares right?
@WestJet when checking into a flight reserved via WestJet but operated by Delta, and online check-in attempts via both the WestJet reservation and the Delta confirmation fail, what is the option for passenger assistance? Neither call center nor online chat could help :(
