#Bucs HC Todd Bowles says the idea of giving each team an opportunity to get the ball in overtime in the regular season has been talked about on the competition committee and they'll talk more about it in the offseason.
Nothing could stop @CGtwelve_ from making a difference in the community. β₯οΈ
@TeamGodwinFdn is holding its annual Team Godwin Gala tonight to raise funds for vulnerable pets. π
@Bucs_Barrett Yeah, the defense just doesn't look capable of reaching a level required to actually be competitive in the postseason. Offense is too mistake prone and injured to make up for it. We're bottom 5 in defensive ppg. That's not going to cut it.
@EMT_Ashlie Christian McCaffery probably isn't the biggest concern for us in that one. It's Brock Purdy and his receivers looking like Warner, Holt, Bruce, and Az-Zahir Hakim suddenly.
@aj_c21 Yeah I wouldn't be to big on letting him out the door either honestly. Especially if he keeps getting this type of production out of this offense with Evans and Godwin.
If you really want Coen as a HC, he'll be here until the end of the year. No need to fire Bowles mid-season for an in-house hire if that's the route you want to go. He's been a great OC but that doesn't directly translate to being a great HC.
Also, Bowles has been coaching for decades. I'm not sure he's going to change too much as far as how he schemes a defense. Not sure any change you would want him to make is feasible.
KJ Britt is limited athletically to the point he can't really do his job. I generally don't spend too much time knocking guys like that. It's not a lack of effort or focus, he's just too slow. Not much point in criticizing that.
They need to show that love on the field then because their love isn't part of the performance analysis. They need to appear as if they have an idea of what they're supposed to be doing and they'll get to keep him around.
Something getting lost in calling for Todd Bowles to be fired is how much players/people in the building love him. Firing him right now might feel cathartic here, but it canβt be overlooked how much it potentially upsets the balance.
@ThePewterPlank Yeah firing mid-season isn't doing anything for you. Especially for an in-house guy. The offense is good as far as play calling goes, moving Coen to HC is likely to hurt that and it won't help the side of the ball playing like garbage either.
I don't think adding new players is going to fix our issue. The defense is confused. Adding Uche to the mix will just give us one more confused player and take away draft capital. I think we know where this team is heading and it aint in the win now direction.
