Mobland Season 2 was majority filmed by me. Strand-on-the Green, Chiswick House, Chiswick Police Station. Tom Hardy was on set early doors (ask the Mums who were doing school drop-off 🤣) and often late into the evening. I spoke to SCORES of crew, some main actors and a handful of extras (some of whom I'm still in contact with) There was NEVER even a hint of this being an unhappy set. This seems VERY odd.

A new, fast-spreading influence operation appeared on X between April 20 and 22, 2026.

Core Message

The main narrative was the repeated poll question:
“Do you support Viktor Orbán becoming President of the European Commission? Yes or No?”
and its minor variations such as:

“Orbán for President of the European Commission!”
“Viktor Orbán is the only way to save Europe.”

Why This Narrative Is Distorted

This campaign is completely distorted and has no connection to reality.

Viktor Orbán is not a candidate, has no institutional path to the position (the President of the European Commission is proposed by the European Council with qualified majority), the next Commission only starts in 2029, and he is currently the opposition leader in Hungary after his party’s defeat in the April 2026 elections.

-The poll is not a serious proposal — it is pure troll and engagement bait designed to:
-Mock the EU’s “democratic deficit” and Von der Leyen,
Rally euro-skeptic, MAGA, and sovereignty-focused audiences,
-Keep the momentum of the earlier April 12–14 IO alive by portraying Orbán as a symbolic anti-EU hero.

How It Spread

Posts typically used identical or very similar poll images (Orbán’s photo + Hungarian flag + emoji).

The spread was not organic: similar posts appeared in a synchronized manner within the same MAGA/euro-skeptic bubble.

It deliberately uses an absurd premise to generate maximum interaction while keeping the narrative “the EU is broken and needs a strongman savior” alive.

Important: The entire narrative is distorted and disconnected from reality. Orbán has zero chance and zero institutional path to become President of the European Commission.
