A friend of mine shared this unfortunate ordeal they encountered, I hope @PoliceUg and @mkituuma can look into the matter. Good thing we have CCTV cameras along Wampewo Avenue. It is sad that we may still have this kind impunity on the roads.
"I just narrowly "survived" a high speed "hit and run" crash along Wampewo Ave. The van that simply crossed over from Lower Kololo without stopping, just continued on ahead ... hitting my car hard at the rear, making it spin thru 180 deg. to stop on the opposite side of the road - luckily there was no vehicle at close proximity on that side, or else ... !! They then also knocked a boda boda along the way ...
I'm very luckily "unscratched", phew ... !
The rear tyre of my car was well and truly destroyed, and I later barely managed to "limp it along" down the hill to the Total station and get it all sorted ... !
Some good guys witnessing the crash tried to block the van from escaping, but cud not, tho' they managed to capture this image of the "culprit" ...
