I just saw that Mr George Galloway quoted my tweet, and it reminds me of when, as a political science undergrad at Nigeria’s premier university, I was researching the brutality of the apartheid regime in South Africa and came across his debate at the Oxford Union for the first time.
In the debate, Mr Galloway spoke of a time he joined in the fight against apartheid in South Africa and asserted that he would never debate a supporter of apartheid because it is one of the worst forms of racism and fascism there are.
It is a delight to see that he has remained steadfast in speaking out against apartheid, racism, and genocide, and that he has been consistent in upholding democracy, respect for international law, and the sovereignty of nations, especially those vulnerable to the whims of imperial predators.
Attached is a video clip of his debate at the Oxford Union.

Your 9-5 is designed to make you comfortable enough not to leave but not rich enough not to need it.
That's not an accident.
The gap between financial freedom and where most people are isn't talent.
It's one decision made seriously and followed through completely.
I made mine in 2021.
When are you making yours?

🕌 What Muslims Do When They “Pray” in Public (It’s Called Salah)
Muslims perform Salah (also spelled Salat), which means connection or communication in Arabic.
It’s not just “praying” in the casual sense, it’s a spiritual discipline that combines physical movement, spoken recitation, and mindfulness, all directed toward God (Allah).
---
⚙️ Why It Started
The practice goes back to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in the 7th century.
Muslims believe prayer was commanded by God during the Prophet’s Night Journey (known as Isra and Mi'raj).
It’s seen as a daily check-in with God, to realign your heart, clear your conscience, and stay humble.
---
🕐 When Muslims Pray
Muslims pray five times a day, spaced throughout the day to maintain spiritual balance:
1. Fajr; before sunrise 🌅
2. Dhuhr; early afternoon ☀️
3. Asr; late afternoon 🌤️
4. Maghrib; just after sunset 🌇
5. Isha; night 🌙
Each prayer only takes about 5–10 minutes.
---
🧭 How It’s Prayed (The Process)
Muslims face the Kaaba in Mecca (the symbolic center of unity).
Each prayer consists of a number of units called rak‘ahs, which combine body movement and recitation.
Here’s the sequence simplified:
1. Standing (Qiyam); reciting verses from the Qur’an, especially the Fatiha (“In the name of God, the Most Merciful…”).
2. Bowing (Rukoo‘); bending at the waist, saying “Subhana Rabbiyal Adheem” (Glory to my Lord, the Great).
3. Prostration (Sujood); forehead touches the ground, symbolizing humility before God, saying “Subhana Rabbiyal A‘la” (Glory to my Lord, the Most High).
4. Sitting (Juloos); brief reflection or supplication (personal prayer).
These steps repeat depending on the time of day (2 to 4 units usually).
---
🕊️ What’s Being Said
Mostly Arabic recitations that are praises of God, expressions of gratitude, and requests for guidance.
It’s not chanting or magic, it’s more like spoken mindfulness.
Here’s the essence:
Acknowledging God’s greatness
Asking for mercy and forgiveness
Affirming peace, compassion, and justice
---
🌍 Why Muslims Sometimes Pray in Public
Muslims are obligated to pray at specific times, so if they’re out and about (work, travel, airport, etc.), they’ll just find a clean, quiet spot and pray.
It’s not a protest, performance, or disturbance, it’s a moment of personal worship.
Similar to how some Christians might pray before eating or Buddhists meditate, just a different format.
---
💡 Big Picture
Praying in public doesn’t mean being “extreme”, it means being devoted and consistent, no matter where you are.
It’s about peace, humility, and discipline, not politics or defiance.
Unfortunately, when people don’t understand it, they can misinterpret it, which is why explaining it calmly and factually, like this, helps fight ignorance with understanding.
It’s hard to start the day with a video like this — absolutely heartbreaking. A woman working at a nursing home broke down in tears when she realized the meal she had prepared for one of the residents was still untouched the next day. He hadn’t eaten because he couldn’t feed himself… and no one was there to help him.
Please, stop abandoning your parents in nursing homes without checking in on them. Aging shouldn’t mean being forgotten.
In Taizhou, China, a car plunged into a river. Without thinking twice, 40-year-old Di Shuangcheng jumped in, grabbed a stone, and smashed the window to save the trapped driver.
He said his mind was calm, only focused on what to do next. “Saving the person was the most important thing.”

OpenVPP is now on @Base.
OpenVPP’s newly launched World dApp brings your vehicle onchain by turning it into a Base NFT. Using the same connectivity as your vehicle's mobile phone app, OpenVPP updates the chain every time your car charges or fills up on gas. Drivers of gas cars can view their potential electric savings and electric car drivers can track charging statistics.
As more and more vehicles connect, OpenVPP will begin to offer charging programs coordinated with electric utilities, creating a global Virtual Power Plant.
Base’s fast, lightweight, and scalable design makes OpenVPP World possible.
Join OpenVPP in launching on Base and let’s build a clean energy future together!

OpenVPP World v.2 is coming.
In v.1, we delivered:
-Wallbox + OCPP 1.6J EV charger support worldwide.
-Onchain charging with a global leaderboard.
-Public EV charger maps (filterable, view-only).
With v.2, we’re introducing:
-Beta program dropped in TG community with limited spots remaining.
-Updated, streamlined UI.
-Ability to connect any car—gas or EV—as an ERC-721.
-EV telemetry onchain, integrated with the leaderboard and ecosystem rewards.
-Announcement of our NYSE listed, retail focused mobile ecosystem provider and product.
In v.3, we'll introduce our NYSE listed Institutional Product and Ecosystem Provider (separate from retail) but focus on revenue grade virtual metering and instantaneous settlements for all DER device classes including smart inverters and HVAC.
Charging, driving, dispatch, and rewards— fully onchain.

$OVPP The Internet of Energy.
For the first time ever, we brought vehicles onchain this past week.
OpenVPP has begun building a portfolio of flexible energy resources for grid providers, starting with vehicles in our OpenVPP World Beta.
So why does this matter? Energy abundance has always been the cornerstone of societal advancement. Access to energy is directly linked to GDP.
Simply put: There are no wealthy countries that don’t also have abundant access to energy.
Utilities now, more than ever, are challenged to deliver on data center, EV fleet, and electrification growth all while finding ways to reduce the billions of dollars of planned infrastructure upgrades.
OpenVPP can solve that, and, we’re just getting started.
Stay tuned, VPPs. More to come this week.

We are beyond thrilled to announce our official partnership with Blackstart Infrastructure Partners and PowerKyiv to bring flexible and dispatchable capacity to Ukraine's electric grid. Blackstart Holdings is a majority shareholder of PowerKyiv.
🌎Read the Full Partnership on LinkedIn: https://t.co/iXEitpwaXf
The main goal of this partnership is to support Transmission Service Operator (TSO) level grid services for Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) in aggregate to create Virtual Power Plants (VPPs).
Additionally, the ability to use energy as a means towards humanitarian efforts such as energy storage controls support local schools to drive the revitalization of Ukraine's electric grid operations, in turn directly impacting social economic growth.
We had an incredible discussion with Chadwick Manning Managing Partner of BlackStart and Andreas Nicolet Co-Founder of PowerKyiv and we are beyond excited to support this massive societal advancement through the global democratization of clean energy access.
