THANK YOU MINNESOTA
Our Gratitude and affection go out to each and every one of you. Thank you for all the support received. Because in moments of darkness, you were the light on our paths
MINNESOTA: Loves - Feels - Resists
never has minneapolis needed to celebrate the sun coming more than at the end of winter 2026. ICE are not gone completely, but we still won, and it was incredibly cathartic to see this play at mayday about protecting our neighbors, grounding why we did this work. i love this city
i have now found out the minneapolis foundation will be spending $15k of these small business recovery funds from the city that are meant to help them bounce back from the ICE occupation on a social media campaign to promote the aquatennial festival
mayor jacob frey has vetoed the pause evictions, save lives bill the minneapolis city coucil approved that would've extended the eviction timeline from 30 days to 60 days temporarily to held families impacted by the ICE invasion catch up paying rent
Jacob Frey went on every national news network to drop a Chuck Schumer F bomb and then came home and vetoed the one tiny shred of actual policy written to help alleviate financial stress on families caused by ICE and their illegal activities. God I fuckin hate that guy
Your news is downplaying how bad it is in Minnesota, but they are also downplaying how strong our communities are, and how many people are protesting, striking, and rallying around each other all over the state.
no mainstream media is telling you folks how bad it really is in Minneapolis. it feels like you guys think it’s hyperbole but no one I know is living in a normal way. normal life has stopped and everyone is afraid all of the time. not a little on edge, but deeply sad and afraid
I just realized I interacted with the man murdered by ICE today at a neighborhood picnic last summer. He lived two blocks from me. I'm not sure what to do with that information right now
my coworker's four year old is carrying copies of her passport and birth certificate in her backpack in case something happens at school. absolutely sickening
I do not live in powderhorn but since last week my phone apps (ie weather) have all set my location to powderhorn?? any other s mpls people experiencing this?
