A piece I wrote about my story as a gestational carrier was accepted by The Sun magazine and published in their November issue. It’s featured in the Readers Write section. The topic for this month is “Brothers.”

@Indy_Symphony Wow. This is sad. I was looking forward to going again this year like we do every year. I guess it doesn’t matter if you have had Covid and have antibodies or you can’t get vaccinated because of health reasons. All that matters is showing those papers.
@BCSC_SnappChat Thank you!! Both of my girls have been quarantined for 10 days (one twice!) less than a month into school and neither were sick. They were missing out on valuable learning time being home and wanted to be at school.
@laurieuttich I really enjoyed this piece in The Sun. I lead a writing workshop on Fridays at a prison in Indiana, so this felt familiar and made me think fondly of the men I am so privileged to work with each week.
@TheSunMagazine
@BCSC_SnappChat Do you know how many students who were quarantined last year because of close contact with a COVID positive student actually ended up getting COVID from that student? Do we have those numbers? I’m just curious. Thanks!
@angelaganote @Mich_accountant This makes no sense. Vaccinated kids can still get sick and pass on the virus to others. They should have to quarantine just like unvaccinated kids. Why the special treatment? Oh, because they want to push the vaccine. Let’s reward those who comply and don’t question.
@jimmyfallon Bending, twisting, and stretching your body in unimaginable ways while throwing yourself in the air over and over again until you break or tear something. Then doing it all again because it’s “fun.” #DescribeASportBadly#gymnastics
@Bighans7@RPRISONISSUES Reading this means a lot! I have volunteered in the prisons for over 7 years now and I love it. I want to be there to encourage those who feel like the world has forgotten about them. There are some wonderful people in prison. I’m so happy to finally be going back in next month.
