We are Critical Mass Lahore, Pakistan’s oldest cycling community, promoting health and environment through cycling for nearly two decades. Our rides include families, women, and children.

Last Sunday, Gujranwala’s district administration and traffic police invited us for an honorary awareness ride. As cycling on Pakistani roads is unsafe, authorities occasionally provide traffic-free roads for such events.

A short clip from our Instagram coverage—showing one of our female members with police vehicles behind her for traffic management—was misrepresented as a government official misusing protocol. This is false and deeply regrettable.

We remain committed to promoting cycling, health, and the environment, and will continue to clarify whenever our members’ dignity, especially that of women, is targeted.
