First up, the Kākāpō, a flightless fat boi that is critically endangered due to predators and also low fertility rates. In June, there was a recorded measly 210 left.

As a treat, here’s an annual drawing: a tohorā or southern right whale.
These slowpokes dwell in the Southern Hemisphere and are known to be somewhat curious and playful.
The males have the largest testicles of any animal worldwide, a pair weighing up to a tonne. Croikey!
