Elon Musk tells an AfD rally in Germany: "I think there is too much focus on past guilt (in Germany), and we need to move beyond that. Children should not feel guilty for the sins of their parents - their great grandparents even"
@gopTODD@TinCanFone I'm sure it did, but not enough for it to be competitive. Just enough to keep them from voting in other districts that would also otherwise be competitive. That's... kind of the point
@gopTODD Trump didn't run to the left or right - he shook up entirely what it means to be a Republican. Brand loyalty over conservatism, and the GOP will likely be reeling from the decision to tie themselves to a populist, nationalist brand instead of small government conservatism.
Well.... Campbell certainly isn't shy about calling out Republicans' bullshit, using that exact verbiage, on live television so certainly there's points for authenticity #utdebates#utpol
As a vet, I liked the question on Hill AFB. It's telling that Campbell had an answer that included listening to Military and municipal leaders to address their needs - Moore mentioned improving base housing even though the USAF famously has exceptional housing. #utdebates#utpol
I wasn't planning on live tweeting the CD1 debate but I'm watching it so here we go
The @UtahDebateCom needs to up their requirements to be on the stage. These random Libertarian candidates have as much policy positions as they do fashion sense, which is none. #utdebate#utpol
@green4utah This is a problem that can only be fixed by Delegates. There were two democrats who filed to run for AG - delegates chose one of them. Things may have been different if the delegates chose the other option.
First the Arlington photoshoot and now an official-side staffer handling campaign-side events?
@coxforgovernor I have a slide deck on Campaign laws and regulations I can send over for you and your team, since clearly none of y'all were trained on this #utpol#utdebates
Reporter’s note on something that happened off camera at this debate and raised some eyebrows.
The person who told reporters Gov. Cox was taking his last Q wasn’t production crew, as it was for other candidates, but the chief of staff for his office (not campaign).
It ain't over yet - the language will remain on the ballot in case the legislative leadership successfully appeals. An important victory for decentralized power, but more to come. #utpol
#BREAKINGNEWS: A judge as struck Amendment D as VOID. It can be printed on the ballots but it is "void and has no effect." The state has said they will appeal.

We have an alternative in @KingForUtah, someone who can lead us into a new era and ACTUALLY lead with a bipartisan hand despite a GOP Legislature similar to leadership we see from the Govs of Kentucky and Kansas. Go to https://t.co/ZOOaBXf4EC and join the fight! #utpol#utdebates
(1/2) Great debate for @KingForUtah. A lot of great policy discussions, but the general vibes were a calm, collected King who cares what happens to this state, or a bitter "Utah nice" Cox with a fake smile and zero integrity about the decisions he makes. #utpol#utdebates
(2/2) body language and speaking styles were very telling. Additionally, despite his plea of "nobody is perfect", Cox shifted blame constantly, from congressional democrats (?) to his fellow Republicans in the legislature, for policies signed by his own hand. #utpol#utdebates
I know @SpencerJCox tries to pretend to be bipartisan, but I have noticed that the Libertarian candidate has just kinda been a hype man for @KingForUtah much of the time. The world is ready for Gov. King, the first Tripartisan Governor! #utpol#utdebates
Considering I'm from Castle Valley, I appreciate @SpencerJCox shouting out coal country. He didn't mention anything about the decay in Carbon and Emery that has happened under his and his predecessors administrations, though. Bring back miners' unions!
@KingForUtah calling @SpencerJCox a "lap dog for the most extreme voices of our legislature" and calling out his blatant lie about his part in getting amendment D on the ballot may be my favorite part of the debate, but it's not over yet #utpol#utdebates
