South Africa should have allowed Nigeria to represent Africa during the qualifiers for this #WorldCup This performance, in particular, the lack of pitch discipline has no place in football. How can you accumulate 2 avoidable red cards in a match you were destined to lose?
By refusing to stop outright thefts like this, the South African govt is demonstrating its complicity in this criminality. There is no place in the world where mobs are allowed to nationalise private investments. Events like this will haunt South Africans for many generations!
Nigerian leaders are a heartless, self-serving and very irresponsible set of human beings. Think for a minute how many classrooms this man could have built for the price of this luxury car. Meanwhile, Ebonyi state is the poorest in the South by all indices.
What is smart about an assault on the sovereignty of an independent nation without the requisite UNSC resolution. You lot like glorifying illegality on this app in the name of seeking engagements?
Trump's move to blockade the Strait of Hormuz is actually a very smart tactical move.
Iran can't get any oil out and earn money. Countries like I dia and China also will now be affected.
What exactly are Iran's options now?
The Strait of Hormuz is not owned by Iran (or any single country). It’s classified under global maritime law as a “strait used for international navigation.”
Under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS):
•All ships have the right of “transit passage”
•That passage must be continuous, unimpeded, and not suspended
👉 In simple terms: it’s like a global highway on water.
So Better shut up there 👆🏽
The blockade always made more sense than seizing Kharg Island. It stops Iran’s exports, its revenues, is a counterpoint to their closing the Straits. They may attack Gulf oil facilities but it puts greater pressure on Iran. It also puts great pressure on China to pressure Iran.
Whichever way this illegitimate war ends, would be aggressors will be very cautious next time. Iran has redefined the rule of engagement in warfare and substituted it with the law of Qisas. No one knows the extent to which it is willing to exact revenge, and there lies the danger
@Chubalus16 Lol, you literarily said I perhaps would have been hiding in a tunnel now if not for the what the US and Israel are doing for the world. If that isnt personal enough, I dont know what else to call it. Take care, and have a good one.
The idea that the US & Israel have some monopoly over the use of force to achieve their global territorial conquest ambition shld be condemned by anyone who believes in a rule-based order. This ongoing attack on Iran goes against that order & all known norms of international law.
@Chubalus16 Keep the communication sane, Mate. No personal insults. That said, you need to go back in history to learn more abt who the major distabilisers are in international politics. The US is number 1. Israel is another kettle of fish entirely with what it has done to the Palestinians.
@Chubalus16 One man's terrorist is another person's freedom fighter, remember. Also, who defines what constitutes terrorism? Iran is the one under attack here and the aggressors are the US and Israel.
