Don’t agree with seniors skipping bowls?
Remember a good performance in a competitive bowl w competitive opponent takes you up a couple picks.. a good combine can take you up whole rounds.
On avg, contracts in high 1st rd differ by ~$1.75M per pick
Low 1st rd ~$500k per pick
@buzzbuhl20@BrettKollmann @BeileinWeTrust Hock was the top prospect available at 8 & you didn’t need DT, you have a stacked D-Line. TE’s like Hock (who your new offense relies on) come once in a blue moon.
Tavai put up similar stats to LVE in the Mountain West who was hated on when Dallas took him, very versatile.
Knew the Giants love affair with Manning (who trains w Duke’s HC in offseason) would lean them towards Jones but not sure why they took him with the early pick.. Haskins fits that system so well too. A shame.
I still believe OAK should draft defense only with their 4 picks in the first 2 rounds.
1 (4) - DL Q.Williams/E.Oliver
1 (24) - CB G.Williams/B.Murphy
1 (27) - DE M.Sweat/C.Ferrell
2 (35) - S C.Gardner-Johnson/LB T.Lamar
I believe in Carr. OL first and then WR,RB,TE in 2020.
Arizona can run the air raid with Rosen or Murray, but Murray being so mobile will help as they build the line so bite the bullet, trade Rosen for a 2nd and use that to bolster O Line depth.
I want the Giants to take Haskins because he fits their system, but their stubbornness with Manning and the ties he has to Dukes coach and therefore Daniel Jones will probably result in him going to NYG late in the first round.

@CFB_Overtime I honestly think he could be one of those iffy guys in college who finds himself in the NFL. But obviously the Raiders need to find a franchise QB, I just don’t think this is the draft so I wouldn’t waste a pick on a guy like Lock or Jones unless they fall to the 3rd round.
If I’m the Oakland Raiders, I’m all in on defense this draft, especially with three 1st round picks and a high 2nd. Here’s who I’d pick:
1st / 4 - [DL] Q. Williams or Oliver
1st / 24 - [DB] G. Williams or Baker
1st / 27 - [S] Gardener-Johnson
2nd / 35 - [DE] Winovich
Williams or Oliver is a must and one if not both should be available.
If Greedy and Baker are off the board, take top available edge, Ferrell or Gary, would settle at Burns if he’s available.
Many solid CBs available through draft, so take Gardner-Johnson if not Greedy/Baker.
Not saying Zion or Tua need to make millions, but for the amount of press coverage and free promotion their school gets off guys like that alone, their jersey sales etc these guys should have some sort of compensation.
In short, I just think it’s unfair that 31 schools had a revenue of $100M+ (according to USA Today 2016-17), there are countless coaches and even assistants making $1M+ and almost all at least in the six figures. NCAA as a whole is a billion dollar entity and the kids make squat.
These kids are ambassadors of their school, providing $ to not just their program, but the academics, admin, students as well. Can’t imagine you can’t even put like $30k a year into a fund & allow pro teams to contribute to that fund just as they pay minor leaguers in MLB & NHL
