Itβs time for Ohio to step up and invest in transit opportunities outside besides cars. Long distance rail and light rail could really benefit the corridor. @ODOT_Columbus@ODOT_Toledo#rail#Transit
Gov Mike DeWine is in Delaware County at the moment to talk about what can be done on US23 to alleviate traffic tieups. Most locals know 23 as the road to avoid if they can. It is a mess w/39 traffic lights over 23 miles and it is getting worse as the area grows.
I've lived near Toledo, Ohio for the past 6 years and it has always felt like a shell of a city. Downtown always feels uninviting, and one of the main reasons for that is the excessive parking. If @city_of_toledo wants to improve it must densify downtown. #YIMBY#Parking
If @Amtrak service makes its way to Columbus, Ohio the City should highly consider investment in a light rail system to connect the suburbs to the city. #publictransit#ohio#LRT
This is only a fraction of the infill developments in Columbus over the last few years. Still, the city has plenty of underutilized space downtown that could benefit from redevelopment. @ColumbusGov
Columbus, Ohio is a growing city and has seen some pretty great infill development over the years. Here is a thread of just a few examples. #infill#housing#HousingForAll#columbus#ohio
