Brace yourselves for tomorrow's post 🕶️
A city at the epicenter of chaos 🌑🏚️
Unprecedented losses. Unimaginable despair.
The numbers will shock you, and the reality will haunt you 💔📉
School boards that seek to improve school climate should start by improving staff morale. Staff who feel valued, respected, and backed will go a long way to making schools happier places to be. #onted#edchat
A few of my friends are over 40 and single.
They’re successful, want families, but things haven’t lined up yet.
Most of their friends have kids, they say the dating apps don’t favor men over 40, and neither does the bar scene.
What’s the best way for them to meet a partner?
I’m amazed at teacher contracts…specifically what little time (prep) is provided for teachers to actually get stuff done.
If teachers ONLY worked contractual hours, 90% of the needed work wouldn’t happen even for the most efficient ones. 🤔
And don’t even get me started with the time provided for lunch.

Why is there more professional training required for Ontario teachers than for Ontario Ministers of Education who direct Ontario teachers? 🤔 #onted#onpoli
Again, armed with facts. Love that Lecce needs to turn to Nancy Naylor in a “phone a friend move”
But the final sound bite is the best. The govt is providing a stable number of students even less funding.
Keep at it @ChandraPasma !
One of the biggest issues in education…
The people that make decisions for what is best for students in schools are NOT teachers. In fact, teachers are rarely asked.
My husband just had the best analogy when I told him our Minister of Education has never been a teacher...he said can you imagine the Chief of Police never being a police officer? #leadingfromthebottom
Doug Ford tried to cover up the results of public consultations that show parents, teachers, school boards & students oppose his plan for increased class sizes & mandatory e-learning.
This morning we're making the summary public and available for all: https://t.co/m3tlOUoahS
Reminder: this is what happened when @fordnation first became Premier, only revealed because of court action. Parents wanted smaller classes, no e-learning.
So every time @Sflecce tells you this is the govt that listens to parents, they are lying! #OntEd#onpoli 👇👇👇
Police get double digit wage hikes, paid OT, and lowered educational requirements. Meanwhile nurses and education workers get capped, the NWC, and get added training put in.
Make it make sense.
