I knew Kushal Das since his first day in office as general secretary of AIFF to the last one when he was forced out. Always willing to speak, never shied away from questions and never missed calling whenever he was in Goa. He was known to delegate work and trust people. RIP Sir.

After spending ₹100s of crores of public & private money on the Lionel Messi spectacle over the last 3 days, it’s time to come back to the reality of #IndianFootball.
I-League tender failed, just like ISL. IWL tender contract talks still dragging on. No progress on the ISL stalemate, and nobody knows when ISL will even start.
That puts the livelihoods of thousands of people at serious risk.
The ongoing uncertainty about the Indian Super League and Indian Football is impacting players, technical, non technical staff, stakeholders and children who are the future of football in India.
The top most league in India which brought life and professionalism into the sport is on hold and clubs have been forced to suspend and close operations.
The fans who unconditionally support the Indian national teams and various clubs are confused and upset over the delay in getting the sport back to normal.
The ISL was truly a game changer for Indian Football.
I hope there is a way ahead for Indian Football and fans.

“We sincerely hope that the AIFF selects a long-term commercial partner.
“The long-term stability and growth of Indian football will rest heavily on the credibility, competence, and financial robustness of the chosen commercial partner.”
Ten ISL clubs have asked the AIFF and its Oversight Committee to select a commercial partner who is “financially sound, capable of sustained investment, and has no history of defaults,” while giving “expertise in sports and football administration” due consideration
🚨🎙️ Diego Forlán: We were behind against Chelsea. Sir Alex told me to warm up and insisted I wear high studs because of the heavy rain and the wet pitch. But honestly, I preferred the low studs. I said yes to him but ended up doing what I wanted without him noticing.
After warming up, he put me on the field. Just a few minutes in, I got a good chance to score, but I slipped and completely missed the shot. Then, I had another chance, but I lost my balance again and missed it.
Frustrated, I ran over to the sideline to change my boots. But Ferguson saw me and beat me to the boots, throwing them far away from me. He stopped me and told me to finish the game with the boots I was wearing.
That match ended up being my last for Manchester United. #MUFC
