We interviewed experts and frontline officials from Italy, Germany, Spain, Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea.
Of all of them, we found more commonalities than differences. So…
These are the 7 things we must do before we open up America.
A thread:
Singapore has been one of the great success stories in countering @COVID19. But now it's experiencing new cases, not just from imported ones. A new 4-week lockdown. How hard it is to achieve control, avoid a 2nd wave https://t.co/kmKjh3L4K8

Daily updated graph of Australia actual against Italy's growth rate. Tracking closer to Italy that you'd hope.
Based on other countries you could expect a lockdown in Australia Friday or Saturday, maybe as late as Monday.

@jez79001949 Still a bit too weak. You want to get the halving rate for the virus as fast as possible. If you can get it down to 3 days then 50,000 cases becomes 50 cases in a month. And those should identify themselves so track and trace is possible.
Exponential decay is your friend.
We don't take publishing a piece like this lightly but John Dwyer is an expert. He says we are distancing from the rest of the world but not each other. "I am terrified by the very real prospect that in coming months hospital capacity will be overwhelmed". https://t.co/IGJ0ZDCG6W
Today, @realdonaldtrump said: “I’ve always known this is a pandemic. I’ve felt that it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic ... I’ve always viewed it as serious.”
Really??? Let’s roll the tape.
If we lockdown today, we reach peak infections in 7 days, lockdown tomorrow, peak reached in 8 days but with many more cases.
Today there are hundreds of people walking around infecting others, unknowingly. Turn off the supply.
