Zimbabwe has become a tragic joke where justice is bought, corruption is rife in the judiciary, and Chinese nationals enjoy special citizen status above locals. Imagine this: Chinese nationals were caught with cocaine and were fined a mere US$150, the price of a dinner in a Harare restaurant.

Yet under the very same judiciary, a Zimbabwean was caught with cannabis for personal consumption and sentenced to two years in jail plus 630 hours of community service.

How do you explain such grotesque double standards? How does anyone make sense of a system that punishes its own poor citizens with the full weight of the law, while foreigners dealing in harder drugs are let off with pocket change? This is not justice my fellow compatriots, this is state-sanctioned humiliation of its own citizens.

When cocaine costs foreigners a fine and cannabis costs locals years in prison, you no longer have a justice system, you have a marketplace of corruption.

A Zimbabwean nurse sent this message to me in response to an arrogant statement by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) @MoHCCZim this morning on its Facebook page, dismissing complaints about the dilapidated healthcare system as “unwarranted negative attacks”.

Just woke up to the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) post and as a nurse am hurt to the core.

Clearly, they don't know the pain yekutarisa people's relatives in the eyes to tell them their loved one has died due to lack of proper care.
Clearly they don't know the pain we feel watching patients vachirwara but unable to help them because we don't have the resources to do so..

We do vital observations (using monitors that are faulty most of the times!) The monitors are like refrigerators they only work when connected to a power supply and most of the sockets at the hospitals don't work then magetsi akaenda(which is a common occurrence) it means we can't even do the vital observations..

Okay taita the vital observations even if we note kuti the BP is elevated there is nothing we can do except just look at the patients because we don't have medication to manage the elevated BPs.

Ndarwadziwa because they don't know the pain of watching patients die after vapedza kutenga theatre sundries and theatre fee but operation ichi postponwer because Hapana electricity or the machines are not working.

They don't know the pain of carrying patients nemastretcher or wheelchairs up 2 floors of stairs because the elevators are not working.

They don't know the pain of letting patients lie on wet blankets which reek of urine because the laundry machine is not working for 2 weeks (kana paipa towaridza nema curtain until aperao)

My prayer ndichirarama kuti ndisarware because kurwara muZimbabwe is a death sentence especially if you a civil servant.
CT scan machines not working at our hospitals so they are done at private institutions at $350..pay yemucivil servant 300 minus tax haitokwane..

This message from Trevor Ncube, the owner of HSTV, which employs the detained Zimbabwean journalist Blessed Mhlanga, should make any serious Zimbabwean stop and think about the importance of journalists like Blessed Mhlanga to our country, Zimbabwe.

Today is day ten of Blessed’s political detention, he is living in a horrible place yet he didn’t commit any crime.
We must stand with him and his family and RETWEET and RESHARE anything we see about his plight.

Blessed is not a criminal. He is a journalist, and journalists practise journalism, which is not a crime at all!
Every right thinking Zimbabwean knows that Blessed is in prison for interviewing a man who exposed the plan to steal a whole bank, his crime is practising journalism!

Let us all remember that because of Blessed’s interview, a whole bank was saved for now from being stolen!
We know he is in detention for that because Emmerson Mnangagwa’s spokesman George Charamba said so!

Congratulations to Fidel Sikhala on achieving a 100% pass mark in the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint.

He used to visit my home with his siblings when his father was in jail, often expressing how unfair it was that his father was a political prisoner while other children’s fathers were at home.

I share his results with gratitude for the support many of you provided towards his school fees each time I reached out on social media.
Well done to Job and his wife for raising such a thoughtful and intelligent young man!

I took the picture on the right of Fidel speaking to his father while his father was in the dock in court, being persecuted for political reasons.
Job spent two years in jail for crimes he never committed, and his children were deprived of their father when they needed him most.

This should be a tonic after all that suffering! Well done Fidel👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

The Gokwe 12 citizens who were arrested on August 15 have finally been granted bail. They were asked to pay usd 200 bail fee each. Once I join politics, my voice will be muted, as I will be told to toe the party line, regardless of whether it is right or wrong!

You saw how I set up a medical facility for elderly, poor people and how I was vigorously opposed by both ruling and opposition supporters, and how those who claim to care about citizens threatened to invade a private medical facility!

That is why Dr. Nkosana Moyo said Zimbabweans are not fighting for change but for their turn to eat.

Zimbabwean politics is in the pits and dominated by career politicians who have never held a decent job in their lives, they are career politicians!
People like me, who come with solutions and not slogans, are not wanted there!

The world watches this, which is why nobody cares about Zimbabwe anymore internationally.
It is because we, its people, are disorganised and have no principles behind selfishness!

Tshabangu has taken millions from the government, yet the people who fought my idea of helping others with my personal money are silent.
