🧵The Mental Health Strategy’s Funding plan set out the need for £9.59million for 2022-23. However only £2.5 million was allocated, leaving a shortfall of >£7million.

Over £24 million is needed for 2023-24. Last year’s allocation is a tenth of what is this coming year.

There are some key differences in use of FIT for screening asymptomatic people via bowel screening, compared to its use to investigate symptomatic patients. CRUK in collaboration with NICaN & PHA, have developed a useful infographic to highlight the different uses of FIT.
