Absolutely most definitely not a Russian bot. Don't follow me cause 90% of the shit I say is stupid or a meme. New trait unlocked! High Functioning Alcoholism!
@Rockahorse@reddit_lies I can’t speak for everywhere but I PROMISE you, you pull that shit in the areas that I grew up in and they will never find your remains.
Files get sealed to block release through FOIA. That doesn’t mean they take all the files and lock them in a cabinet. Those files were still available to the DOJ. They could still be used as evidence and to bring charges against other people.
I would recommend you follow your own advice and do a little further reading.
@poiu477@stevemiNumbers@memeticsisyphus Did you really post that you have the “actual” definition of terrorism and then, as proof, repost something that says what you think it “should be”?
Someone has an inflated opinion of themselves.
@red_white_pew@shaunsomers@LegalFockery@Ravious101 I would say that lawmakers need to step up and give definitive laws on the subject but I wouldn’t trust them to to get it right.
Anyways, have a great night!
While I understand navigable flying zones, the issue becomes who is doing the surveillance and why it is being done. Police randomly flying over a property and seeing something is one thing. Targeted surveillance of a property, like the ones I listed above, should require a warrant.
If a plane or helo flys over on an unrelated flight, sees proof of a crime, and the police get a warrant to target that property for surveillance, I understand, even if I don’t agree with it. If the police fly a drone over every yard in my neighborhood looking for crime, even yards that are effectively blocked off from public view, that’s clearly a constitutional violation.
The flip side of this is non governmental drone operators. What purpose does a civilian have to film outside what is legally protected? If you can’t see it from a public space, it shouldn’t be a valid target. A civilian would have no legitimate reason to hover over my back yard and film. Even flyover shots would be iffy depending on what area you’re filming in and what the footage is being used for.
It’s like you posted in another reply. You could have a second story house that overlooks my yard. In that case, an awning or tree break would be the answer if I wanted privacy. On a 50 acre property, privacy can be expected. If you fly a drone over it with the intent to film, you are violating that right.
A simple chain link fence, sure. But if I had an 8 foot privacy fence all the way around my yard and there are no vantage points that would allow you to legally see over it, (trespassing, etc), I would argue that I have created a space where I could reasonably expect privacy.
Another scenario would be if I had a large 50 acre wooded property clearly marked no trespassing and my yard was not visible from any position around the property, I would also argue that I created a reasonable expectation of privacy.
In both those cases, police would require a warrant to use drone surveillance in my current state. A private citizen is generally allowed to fly over any non restricted property but that doesn’t exempt them from privacy laws. I couldn’t walk up to privacy fence with a step ladder, poke my phone over the top and start taking a video.
It’s all about what you can see from public property.
You picked a bad hill to die on. First, houses are starting to be come a bad investment. They are, for the most part, WAY over valued and many buyers have shifted away from the housing styles of the last 3 decades. Not to mention, home quality has drastically reduced along with buyer’s ability to secure financing.
At its core, any investments success or failure hinges on the ability to sell the item. If I buy a trading card for $1 and sell it a month later for $10, that was a good investment. If I bought a house in 2021 for $850k, list it for $1.5m in 2025, it sits for 200+ days and I finally accept an offer for $650k, that was a bad investment. (True story, happened to a friend of mine.)
Alien. Hands down the scariest movie I have ever seen. Saw it on Showtime in 1982 at 1 in the morning on cable while my parents were asleep and it TRAUMATIZED me. I was 6 years old and I wouldn’t enter a dark room for 6 months afterwards. My dad was not impressed with me. Every light in the house had to be on or I would loose my shit. Every time I got indigestion or an upset stomach I went full panic mode thinking an alien was about to burst out of my chest.
