The Staff were later hosted at the Institute of Maritime and Seafaring Studies and received by the Chairperson of the Institute’s Maritime Research, Innovation and Liaison Committee, Capt. Suleiman, Adjunct Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for BSc Nautical Science.

On 17th April 2025, I was honored as the Director- Maritime and Seafaring Programs, in TUM to receive staff of the national Agency for Maritime Affairs (ANAM) of the Union of Comoros for capacity building in Maritime English Training .

The process has also been supported by the Association of Maritime Practitioners- Kenya, which was represented by the Vice President – Nautical , standing in for the AMP-K (Maritime Practitioners) President, Captain Suleiman Bakari.

The CS inspected a guard of honour mounted by Maritime Cadets. TUM stands out as a leading institution for higher education in Kenya, with a strong legacy as the country’s first center for seafarer training, originally known as the Mombasa Institute of Muslim Education (MIOME).
