Current progress update:

The chain foundation is now complete: a quantum-resistant Kaspa blockDAG architecture, combined with an account-model EVM layer on parent blocks.

This is not a hobby project. It is built on top of already trusted and proven infrastructure.

Next, we will begin tuning the DAG parameters to see how close we can theoretically get to the maximum target of 50 BPS.

In parallel, we are moving toward building a decentralized LLM ecosystem based on distributed GPU providers. $MISAKA

Thank you for your continued participation and support of our community.

Starting July 8, the current mining system will be discontinued and replaced with a new Contribution Points System, which rewards participation in the testnet and contributions to the network infrastructure.

Changes

Mining will be discontinued starting July 8.
Beginning July 20, testnet activities such as bug reporting and feature testing will become eligible for contribution points.
Running nodes and contributing to the project’s infrastructure will also be rewarded with points.
Points will be credited gradually based on each participant’s contributions.

Eligible Activities

Reporting bugs found on the testnet
Testing features and providing feedback
Operating network nodes
Contributing to network stability and infrastructure

We sincerely apologize that mining is ending earlier than originally anticipated due to the rapid increase in hash purchases.

This change is part of our effort to build a healthier and more sustainable ecosystem by rewarding meaningful contributions rather than mining activity alone.

Even if you’re new to the project, you can participate by testing features, reporting bugs, or providing feedback. We encourage everyone to contribute in whatever way they’re comfortable.

Why does Kaspa, despite having extremely strong block throughput and confirmation performance, still see real-world TPS sitting at only a few dozen transactions?

The answer is simple: performance alone is not enough.

Without smart contracts, there is no meaningful application layer. No DeFi. No on-chain markets. No high-frequency state interaction. No reason for users and developers to generate sustained transaction demand.

This shows one of the biggest limitations in today’s crypto market: a fast chain without programmable execution can still remain underused.

Misaka is being built to address this.

We are bringing EVM execution directly around the parent block, with plans to expand toward parallel EVM execution around the parent-block structure in the future.

Our goal is clear:

To become the representative POW-based VM chain.

$Bitcoin, $Ethereum, $Kaspa, and many other cryptocurrencies are said to face a major challenge in the age of quantum computing.

Even if these networks eventually become quantum-resistant, what happens to old wallets that never migrate to the new system?

Many of those wallets could hold enormous amounts of coins. If quantum computers were ever able to compromise them, the impact on the market could be significant.

On the other hand, forcibly locking or invalidating those wallets raises serious questions about ownership rights and blockchain ethics.
