Paul Marshall, the co-owner of GB News, has tripled his hedge fund investments in fossil fuel companies in the first quarter of 2026 to £2.1bn.
They're a propaganda channel cashing in on destroying our future.
Always follow the money.
Crop yields down, our countryside scorched and over 2800 people are dead due to this summer's heatwaves.
Meanwhile fossil fuel giants are raking in record profits.
We must end this rampant profiteering, and cut fossil fuels from our energy mix as soon as possible.
“Cause it’s not what you’re given / But what you do with it / And it’s not the road less travelled / But how you choose to live”
We have been reflecting on the passing of Dublin-born singer-songwriter Glen Hansard, a profound loss for the Irish music scene and beyond.
He did not need a microphone to amplify the words that lived inside him, and this was proved time and time again throughout his career. He shed the Academy and Grammy Awards, critical acclaim and sold-out shows to simply show up as the storyteller and man he was.
Our thoughts are with everyone who loved him, his family, and those whose lives were changed by him.

I think it is wrong and 100% antisemitic to refer to the Israeli Defence Force as the ‘Jewish Defence Force.’
For that reason, I also think it encourages antisemitism when the Chief Rabbi in the UK refers to foreign Israeli soldiers as “our heroic soldiers” in a UK synagogue.
Not a single person has been held accountable for their participation in genocide.
Meanwhile, opponents of genocide are sentenced as terrorists.
What kind of dystopian world are we living in? This absurdity must end. De-proscribe Palestine Action, now.
ITV News just reported that the last time France had this many wildfires was during the Second World War.
Meanwhile, Madrid authorities say their massive wildfire is the worst in the regions history.
What will it take for media and politicians to treat the climate crisis like the unprecedented global emergency it is???
There’s been a disturbing escalation of attacks on the right to peaceful protest. If Burnham is truly sorry about Labour's position on Gaza, he must reverse them
If you missed @ChrisNineham and @BenJamal48 writing for @zeteouk we reproduce it here 🔽
It is not decent to lie. It is not decent to indulge warmongers. It is not decent to, as happened to Faiza Shaheen, abandon a mother who has devoted her life to beating former Tory leaders in safe seats because she is too left-wing. It is not decent to humiliate a predecessor because it’s expedient to do so. It is not decent to refuse to lift hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty, then scrap the two-child benefit cap after caving to internal pressure and to try to take the credit in a resignation speech.
Left Hook by @OliDugmore: Stop calling Keir Starmer a good man

A few weeks ago, the new Defence Secretary, Wes Streeting, said there were "serious and substantial allegations of war crimes" in Gaza.
International Law prohibits states from exporting weapons if they know the arms will be used to commit war crimes, genocide, or crimes against humanity.
Will we see an arms embargo? Or just more of the same?
Andy Burnham has approved British support for the illegal US war on Iran.
There are no “defensive strikes”. The US launched an illegal war of aggression.
This means British involvement in war crimes.
Nothing else to say!
This is an appalling lack of judgement and the surest sign yet that Britain will continue to be Trump's lackey.
The war in Iran has cost countless lives, and breached international law - yet we continue to support it.
Very, very concerning. Very, very continuity Starmer.
"When asked if he believes Israel has committed genocide, he reverted to Starmer’s line: That it is for international courts to decide.
This is not nearly good enough..."

Here, the new Foreign Secretary rightly says Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is “illegal”.
He says no such thing about Israel’s genocide.
Burnham has said it’ll be the courts who will decide on war crimes in Gaza.
Yet by stating that Russia’s war is illegal, Miliband accidentally exposes the absurdity of that argument.
He hasn’t waited for the courts to decide there!
He speaks of the “terrible suffering” of Gaza, without naming the perpetrator - Israel.
No sign of any shift in government policy here.
Wes Streeting has been made Defence Secretary.
In his released correspondence with Peter Mandelson, he said:
“Israel is committing war crimes before our eyes.”
Journalists should ask him:
1) Does he stand by that?
2) What legal obligations does the UK therefore have?
Charlie Stayt, "You said Andy Burnham is too in hock to vested interests to deliver real change. You haven't given him a chance, have you, he hasn't even started?"
Zack Polanski, "If he does do the right things I'll be the first to applaud him"
"He's appointed James Purnell as chief of staff. This is a man who is a corporate lobbyist for private water companies"
"When we have water companies pumping sewage into our rivers and charging us extra for the privilege, this doesn't seem a good start"
"Then we know Josh Simons hired a private investigator to look into a journalist who was talking about undeclared donations for Labour Together"
"And finally, the only substantial thing he's voted on as an MP in the last week, is to support Shabana Mahmood's regressive immigration reforms. Including asking asylum seekers to review their cases every 30 months. That's deeply inhumane for people fleeing war and persecution"
"Andy Burnham might surprise me and move in a more progressive direction and I'd really welcome that"
"But the rumours of appointing Shabana Mahmood as Chancellor, a politician who cites Margaret Thatcher as one of her political heroes"
"This doesn't sound like we're moving in a direction to end ripoff Britain, it looks like more of the same"
Andy Burnham says Labour got Gaza wrong. If you're sorry, prove it.
1. Call it a genocide.
2. End the arms sales.
3. Stop sharing military intelligence with Israel.
The people of Gaza can't wait any longer.
This is what it looks like to be truly morally and politically bankrupt.
Cooper and her ilk treat Gaza like it's a comms issue, not one of the most profound moral and political outrages of a generation. Still defending their record in government, only admitting early failures of tone.
A British surgeon who treated dying and injured children in Gaza says his evidence of war crimes was ignored by Keir Starmer.
Professor Nick Maynard talks to us about his experiences, including how he had to watch babies starve to death after Israel’s deliberate blockade of food, and how Starmer skipped meetings with him and other doctors who had worked in Gaza amid the ongoing genocide.
The UN also released two reports last month confirming a genocide and the IDF’s targeting of children, yet the UK government still remains an ally of Israel and refuses to use the term ‘genocide’ for the years long assault on Palestine.
Professor Maynard also shares his experiences in a new film, Life Support. Find a screening here:
