Please don’t prepare my 9th grader for 10th grade. Don’t prepare my 10th grader for 11th grade. Meet them where they are now. Recognize their strengths, foster a connection...they will do the rest.
Thanks to everyone who supported me for this years #bettysrun#WalkToEndALS@alsalberta. Since it was a virtual walk, I took to the trails at Elk Island National Park to show my support for Erin and others living with ALS.
What an inspiring man and a great way to spread awareness about ALS! I will be participating in this year's #WalkToEndALS on June 21 and I WILL complete the #ALSBurpeeChallenge before the walk...stay tuned!
Ottawa's lead walker for the virtual #WalkToEndALS, Deane Gorsline, is re-initiating the #ALSIceBucketChallenge - but w/ a twist. That's right, folks. It's time for the #ALSBurpeeChallenge!! Complete 1 min of max burpees w/in 24 hours. Let's get 'er done! https://t.co/o6sBgk3OmR

Professional Development should not be about a workshop, class, or conference. It’s a mindset. It’s a relentless pursuit of being better tomorrow than you were today.

On our LIVE this Sunday we talked about… https://t.co/T7GjAUiye5
The ALS Society of Alberta does an incredible job of supporting people in our communities who have ALS. Help me to ensure that they are able to continue to do this work by sponsoring me in the upcoming Betty's Run for ALS in Calgary. https://t.co/r33n15tTOp
I don’t think there are many people who wake up with a goal of doing a poor job at work. Most people are doing the best job they know how. It is the leader’s job to take people where they are… and give them the tools, resources, training, and encouragement they need to grow.
“I care about your school work, and your grades, and your test scores. But I care more about how you treat your classmates. I can’t think of anything better...than making sure those around you feel valued and accepted.”
This is what I told our students yesterday. #KindnessRules
