Airports really need gyms and showers. If I have a 3-hour layover, I’d rather get a workout in, stretch, shower, and walk onto the plane feeling fresh than sit around drinking overpriced airport coffee.

I want to reread the same paragraph because it made me think.

I want to underline sentences.

I want to get completely lost in a story.

I want a book to take me three weeks if it takes me three weeks.

I don’t want an app to read my books for me.

Why are we optimising the things designed to help us slow down?

We’ve become so obsessed with efficiency that even our hobbies are being turned into something to optimise.

I keep getting ads for apps that read books for you.

An entire book condensed into 10 minutes.

And I know it’s supposed to save me time… but I don’t want to save time on this.

I don’t want to consume 50 books a year just so I can say I did.

I want to disappear into one for hours.

@Aurielle007s The whole book shop experience should be protected at all cost. There is a place for kindle dgmw, such as traveling light. But you cannot beat a physical book imo

2. What are my current skills?
3. What sparks my interest the most?
4. What about my current life doesn’t serve me anymore?
5. What can I do today to start making those tweaks?
