I am working very closely with a heart surgeon who has spent years inside the specific kind of damage I am currently carrying. He knows this terrain.

He does not speak in hopeful slogans or soft reassurances. He speaks in measurements, thresholds, and non-negotiables. I am following every single one of them to the letter.

That is not a personality shift. That is strategy.

I am going out of my fucking mind not being able to move the way I normally do.

The restrictions are real. The boredom is violent. The part of me that was forged to keep producing, keep dissecting, keep driving forward is currently on a short leash, and it hates it.

I will not pretend otherwise. I will not romanticize rest.

I will not perform gratitude for the slowdown. I am simply choosing not to be an idiot about the one organ that keeps the rest of this machine running.

So the cadence here is going to change for a while.

I will post when I am up for it. Intermittently.

When the body allows the mind to stay sharp long enough to put something lethal on the page.

There will be gaps.

There will be silence. That silence is not absence. It is discipline.

I am not fragile. I am not fragile-coded.

I am simply under the care of someone who has already seen what happens when patients like me decide they know better than the data. I do not intend to become one of those cautionary tales.

The work continues. It just moves at the pace the heart will tolerate.

That is the update.

Well, I have some news that's going to make some people uncomfortable...

My wife and I are pulling our youngest out of North Carolina public schools and my wife will be homeschooling him.

And no, we're not sorry about it.

We didn't come to this decision lightly. We prayed on it, argued about it, ran the numbers, lost sleep over it.

But every road led back to the same common theme: nobody on God's green earth loves that boy more than his mother and I do, and nobody is more responsible for who he becomes than us.

Yet, rather ironically, despite believing this somewhere along the way, we handed that responsibility to strangers and... trusted them with it.

His mind. His values. His time. His education. His TRUTH.

...and this past year, for the first time, we stopped and asked whether they'd earned that trust.

We don't think they did.

So we're taking it back.

Yeah, we're scared. Scared we'll get something wrong. Scared of the workload. Nervous about what people will say.

But I'll take the fear of us doing it ourselves over the quiet horror of watching our son be indoctrinated in utter BS woke nonsense and be laughed at for believing in God and mocked for liking President Trump (all of which occurred this year.

So yeah, he's going to read the hard books. The ones they'd rather he didn't.

He's going to learn history that hasn't been run through an anti-White woke filter.

He's going to know exactly where he comes from and what he believes.

Most importantly, he's going to grow up watching his mother choose him, to spend every day, all day with him, over what was easy.

They had their shot. They blew it.

We've got him from here. 🇺🇸
