So excited to finally share what I got up to in Sweden in December.
At that time temperatures had fallen to record lows, but I felt it was important to highlight that individual cold events don’t discount the rapid rate of warming across the globe, and in particular the Arctic.
'I hate to be the bearer of bad news...'
Weather expert Tamsin Green says it's extremely unlikely that the UK will wake up to a white Christmas this year.
#StormDarragh continues to bring strong winds across the UK, with Red, Amber and Yellow wind warnings in force ⚠️ https://t.co/QwDLMfRBfs

Wondering why Storm Darragh is looking so nasty?
Aside from the strength of the winds, it’s these 3 key reasons 👇🏻⚠️
A rare red warning has been issued and a gov alert was sent out to parts of Wales & the SW - used for only the 3rd time ever and its largest use.

It would be wonderful if people in the comments actually listened to what I said rather than immediately sprinting to the climate change denial bandwagon. Sigh.
'A warmer atmosphere holds more moisture so we can expect more rainfall in a warming world.'
Meteorologist, Tamsin Green, discusses whether the UK will see more frequent storms after storm Bert caused chaos.
8PM EDT: This is nothing short of astronomical. I am at a loss for words to meteorologically describe you the storms small eye and intensity. 897mb pressure with 180 MPH max sustained winds and gusts 200+ MPH. This is now the 4th strongest hurricane ever recorded by pressure on this side of the world. The eye is TINY at nearly 3.8 miles wide. This hurricane is nearing the mathematical limit of what Earth's atmosphere over this ocean water can produce.
I remember evacuating from Irma in 2017, driving 18 hours straight to Atlanta.
Traffic backed for miles, no petrol stations open. It felt apocalyptic.
6 million people evacuated Hurricane Irma, one of the most powerful Atlantic hurricanes on record & Milton could match that.
It’s terrifying to see so many people questioning whether to evacuate in mandatory evacuation zones.
But now also being faced by the fact it’s too late to evacuate.
I am absolutely speechless witnessing Milton’s jaw-dropping development.
It’s going to be one for the history books.
Milton is officially the 3rd strongest hurricane in Atlantic history, based on wind speeds, and 4th most intense according to central pressure.
Not every day you see NW Europe in an NHC graphic.
Kirk is now a post-tropical cyclone and no longer a hurricane, but will still bring potentially impactful, wet and windy weather to parts of Western Europe - albeit looking to stay to the south of England for now.
Concerning situation with Major Hurricane Beryl currently churning to the south of Barbados.
Life-threatening storm surge, dangerous waves & hurricane-force winds expected across parts of the Caribbean.
