A thread on my favourite commander deck. It’s low power, super thematic, and conveys my favourite MtG approach to deckbuilding - Vorthos! - making it my go-to when playing new people. No infinite combos, just gorgeous Selesnian combat nonsense! 1/🧵

Play this deck if you love the feeling of playing Magic “as-intended”, building an army up and turning it sideways, with some really gorgeous artwork - while staying super on-theme! 11/🧵
Selesnya embodies the green:/white concept of power through community - and so this deck rewards you for going wide by enabling you to go tall. This lets you flexibly determine which opponent you can take down, while keeping back blockers. Trostani’s vigilance is great here! 6/🧵
@LoreleyWrites I love when flavour text copies concepts across - that cycle of “last words” red cards in ?M21 I think it was, and things like this. As others have said, immortalise this tome as a Legendary Artifact! 👏
@sporef4g I prefer cards that feel “fairer” - once OG Koma resolved, it felt impossible to get rid of (which thematically was totally the goal) - and I didn’t enjoy playing it.
This however - I like it.
(Also, save Phy-Koma for MH4 or a commander deck ♥️)
@TriskeMTG I love the new art on this, and also love it when they re-plane things! I’m so so gutted the new cards don’t have non-anime art though! That Dromoka Dilf 100% needed a classic MtG art design!
@Slashuur3@LvlvRose@maraisbored Why am I forced to play against Memnarch, and Armageddon, and Agent of Thieves? I hate these aspects of the game, but they’re part of it, and some people like it.
@andre_wellis @maraisbored That’s a pretty unpleasant thing to say.
People like different things in different ways. I’m gutted for people losing out - but understand that some of us don’t mind it. It’s a game that lots of people enjoy differently.
