@C4Dispatches The King has a deal with Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Trust in London that will charge the NHS more than £11 million over 15 years for the right to park ambulances in one of its warehouses https://t.co/6yZgtr1LJO

What is happening in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since October 7 - these are the numbers

[Prof Julia Steinberger @JKSteinberger]

... it's so very clear that large numbers of people, and an overlarge number of politicians, are absolutely fine with dead babies.
I didn't know the colossal size of the evil we are up against. I didn't know.

Today at 4.30 MPs will debate whether to offer a family reunion scheme for Palestinians living in the UK with families trapped in Gaza.

There’s still time to write to your MP with this tool & ask them to attend & speak up for Gaza families #r4today https://t.co/UE25jBDnQH

@Barclays, we want you to take climate responsibility and stop financing fracking.

I’m supporting @ShareAction and their challenge to you at your AGM today in Glasgow. 💪

Typically parochial UK media coverage of the Rwanda migrant exporting scheme rarely mentions that Britain is funding a regime causing one of the world’s worst refugee crises, as per this @hrw report

Were UK-made arms used to kill three British nationals?
Israeli media has reported that an Elbit Systems Hermes 450 drone was used to kill 3 British citizens, among 7 @WCKitchen staff murdered.
UK Ministers have previously admitted that Hermes 450s may have UK-made engines ⬇️

The backlash to director Jonathan Glazer’s acceptance speech at the Oscar’s—where his film The Zone of Interest won “Best International Feature Film”—is really beyond the pale.

Let’s take a minute to watch his speech & examine what he said in context: 🧵

This would be funny if the impacts of the Tories' legislative agenda weren't so shocking.

Jewish grief and pain are being used to justify true horrors.

Mass starvation. No water. Hundreds of children blown to pieces, every single day.

We have experienced horrors like this in our history. We still bear the scars.

This cannot be who we become. Never Again for Anyone.

"First, I must confess that over the last few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season."
Shallow understanding from people of goodwill is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.”

Sad to hear of the death of Ady Barkan, whose life with ALS and fight for healthcare rights were profiled so movingly in the documentary Not Going Quietly.

[Ady Barkan @AdyBarkan]

Hi all, this is Ady’s wife, Rachael. I’m devastated to share the news that Ady has died from complications of ALS. You probably knew Ady as a healthcare activist. But more importantly he was a wonderful dad and my life partner for 18 years. [1/4]
