There is a myth, very widely held in Labour, that we achieved an huge popular victory in 2024 under Starmer.
In fact we won 9.7 million votes, over 3 million fewer than in 2017 and half a million less than the 'disastrous' 2019 poll.
We won because the Tories imploded in 2024.
Unionising is not “greedy”, why can’t workers collectively bargain like any other interest group can?
Nobody bats an eyelid when the organisations we work for do the same thing banding together as a consortium to lobby ministers for whatever it is that “industry” wants lol
you look at our media landscape and it’s so easy to see how jimmy savile, the grooming gangs, clerical sex abuse etc were allowed to operate with the full knowledge of the british elite. there is no depth they won’t sink to in covering for their friends
What needs highlighting is that we were investigated for a Section 5 Public Order Offence with NO aggravated element. The lowest level of public order offence there is. Not hate speech, not incitement, but the lowest Public order offence you can commit. This seems to be omitted.
Rest in peace to Dr Aggrey Burke, the NHS’ first Black consultant psychiatrist.
Here's a very good piece from 2022 which maps out his life and formidable career.
A truly significant figure in Black British history who deserves continued recognition.

While you’re being whipped into a frenzy, he’s on holiday.
While you’re told to hate Muslims, he’s happily spending time in Muslim countries.
While you’re shouting in the streets, he’s eating well, travelling freely, and enjoying life.
Ask yourself one simple question.
If these people are such a threat, why is he so comfortable around them?
He doesn’t live by the fear he sells you.
You do.
That makes you the mugs.
Because he gets the money, the sunshine, and the good time.
You get the anger, the consequences, and the hate.
If someone tells you to despise a group while happily socialising with them themselves, that isn’t leadership.
That’s manipulation.
What does that say about him?
And more importantly, what does it say about you if you keep carrying it for him?
EXCLUSIVE: A Met officer was accused of running a VIP paedophile ring, which included an MP and a judge, that sexually abused young girls in care.
A Met whistleblower claims it was “covered up” by the force.

Any time I talk about a wealthy person's outfit, someone in the comments is quick to reply: "They're rich, you think they care?" No one has to care about my opinions or clothes, regardless of net worth.
But let's talk about the connection between wealth and aesthetics 🧵
Why is our media and political class more outraged by musicians showing solidarity with Palestine than by a UK government directly complicit in genocide?
Condemn war criminals, not musicians.
Ban arms sales with a genocidal apartheid state, not non-violent direct action groups.
There’s nothing “separate” about it. The artist’s values, actions, and abuses are often embedded in the work, the lyrics, the themes, and the process of creation. To ignore that is to ignore the real-world harm they cause. And that’s the tragedy; not only do these artists often
We directly contribute to their wealth, influence, and platform. Continuing to support their art, then, is not a neutral act but rather it reinforces a culture where harmful behavior is overlooked for the sake of nostalgia.
outweighs accountability, and that someone’s ability to entertain or move us emotionally excuses their abuse of others. In many cases, the power and protection fame offers are exactly what allow these individuals to avoid consequences in the first place.
Ethics isn’t just about personal enjoyment, it’s about the systems we participate in and sustain. And choosing to support harmful artists tells the world, "So long as you're talented, you can get away with anything." This signals to survivors and the broader public that talent
.@ZoeJardiniere lists 3 previous instances where military aircraft have been targeted by campaigners in order to prevent them being used in war crimes, and she describes the govt banning @Pal_action as terrorists as an abuse of state power.
Well said.
I’m convinced that the hatred Arsenal fans get is sheer racism, no other club has to deal with this and it can only be because we have the highest % of black fans. I can’t believe black fans of rival clubs are letting the devil use them in this manner.
