7 elected BJP MLAs refuse to take oath in Telangana because Akbaruddin Owaisi was appointed pro tem speaker. Fact is, Owaisi is a 3 time elected MLA (ie from the first Telangana assembly): BJP may not approve of his politics and has every right to oppose Owaisi politically but to refuse to take oath in an assembly because you don’t like someone is a dangerous precedent. Among the MLAs who refused to take oath is T Raja Singh who delivered arguably the most hateful, abusive speech ever (and I mean ever) by an elected MLA (speech still available on archives).
