EBUBE |2023|
I’ve finally started shooting a bit this year and I’m loving how far along I’ve come with the quality of my work. See how sweet these pictures are 😂. Ebube looked amazing and happy at her birthday shoot sha
A colleague tweeted about inserting a “wicked” clause into a contract and suggested that it would be problematic if opposing counsel failed to spot it.
The tweet made its way to Instagram, where a senior lawyer commented: “Things have really changed.” A very short but pregnant comment.
There are colleagues here whose niche is tweeting very alarming and inaccurate positions to court controversy, but nothing has been done. Recently, a colleague tweeted that men are not given custody of their female children by the courts so that they won't sleep with such children. Why is the NBA or LPDC silent on such a serious claim?
I am a little over a decade at the Bar, and I almost always come across tweets that elicit a “What?” from some colleagues. At what point exactly did lawyers begin to elevate content creation above professional ethics and comportment? Is it this "put yourself out there" thing or there is more to it?
My understanding of a written contract is that it should spell out the terms of the relationship between the parties, their respective rights and obligations, and the protections available to them.
The idea of drafting a contract as though one party is actively setting a booby trap for the other and hoping they fall into it is a new development. Besides, I have always thought that every lawyer wants a contract between their client and the other party to be successfully performed, with the parties eventually moving on.
Finally, from admission to study law at the university, through admission to law school and call to the Bar, and even throughout the continuation of legal practice, I think there is a need for a serious review of the conditions and terms of admission and continued practice.
Beyond grades, I think a candidate’s mental disposition and maturity should be assessed. Lawyers cannot publicly be posting central details of matters they handle or proceedings they witness in court for entertainment or gossip.
If possible, the practice and conduct of lawyers, particularly as they relate to their standing as members of the profession, should be reviewed every three or five years. Anyone who fails to meet the expected standards should be required to demonstrate their fitness to continue practising.
The way many lawyers conduct themselves online should seriously worry the Bar, the Bench, and every lawyer. To me, it doesn't seem to worry anybody and it is a troubling thing.
@NigBarAssoc and @MrsBBold, things cannot continue this way. Please, do something. If I am called upon to do a memo on this, I am willing to. Lawyers cannot afford to behave anyhow.
If our training extended to the level of dining etiquette, and law students were punished for infractions in that regard, it should not be considered normal for colleagues to make reckless tweets that are unbecoming of a lawyer or the profession.
Few other professionals have attracted as much censure and embarrassment to their profession as some lawyers have in the past one or two years. Yet, our training is amomg the most discipline-centred ones.
Something has to be done, and it has to be now.
Fellow Lagosians,
At ₦2k per meal, it will cost you ₦6k per day, and therefore ₦8,700,000 to eat three meals a day for 4yrs. These are not square meals o, just "manage".
If you have foolishly decided to sell your vote for less than ₦8.7m, you're an even bigger ozuor than imagined.
As I have said repeatedly, @GRVlagos and I have plans to use everything Lagos State has - our population, our waterways, even our refuse - to make Lagosians more prosperous and live a life of abundance.
We will use our organic waste to generate biogas for electricity, and Lagosians will be employed in those facilities.
We will use the waste product of our biogas production facilities as fertilizer to produce much more food and significantly reduce the cost of food.
We will burn our inorganic waste to generate more electricity, and even more Lagosians will be employed to run those facilities.
We will recycle the waste product from the incinerators as building materials.
We will provide free, qualitative education for all children of Lagos Taxpayers', to university level.
We will provide free, accessible and comprehensive Healthcare to children and the elderly, initially, whilst drastically reducing the overall cost of healthcare to everyone else.
We will provide a minimum of 100,000 high quality, yet affordable homes in four years to Lagosians, with LOW INTEREST mortgages.
We will reduce the Average Commute Time (the amount of time spent in traffic), by at least 50% within our first 18 months in traffic, whilst simultaneously reducing the cost of public transport.
Make a conscious, strategic decision today, to invest in a future where you will no longer struggle to feed yourself, much less your family.
Vote for a future where you can start achieving your dreams, hopes and aspirations, and begin to realistically dream bigger dreams.
Vote for a future where you and your children are much safer and much more secure in ANY part of Lagos State, because we will provide much better welfare for all security agents working in Lagos State, starting from much better residential accomodation, to better working facilities and conditions, to much better welfare.
Vote for @GRVlagos. Vote for ADC.
If we all work together, we can Make Èkó Great Again.
Warmest Regards,
Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi
ADC Lagos State Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate

Lmao 🤣 which tech companies? Lmao the big ones are filled with ex bankers while the small ones are finding it hard to scale due to the talent they can afford 🤣 also, the so-called GTs and banks you mentioned all had a pool from people who returned in the 2000s. 😆 those individuals arrived and built the institutions.
Middle management is not overrated. Senior management sits somewhere between the vision center and the center of excellence, while middle management occupies the execution layer. This layer is what turns vision into daily tasks and outputs. When 2020 middle management professionals left in droves and wave after wave, they took knowledge with them. Now you have many junior people willing to learn but very few middle layers who have the capacity to teach. Now work is being shared between senior management (having to become technical and get involved in day-to-day) and middle management (what’s left of it)
At the Felabration Gubernatorial Debate yesterday, @GRVlagos explained our plan to spread development across Lagos State, and thus de-congest Lagos Central.
We will build new communities in the extremities of Lagos.
Badagry, Alimosho, Ifako-Ijaiye and Ọjọ to the West, and Epe, Ibeju-Lekki and Ikorodu to the east - will see massive investment in new, supremely liveable, master-planned, affordable housing developments.
We will connect Lagos like never before by road, rail and water transport. A new hybrid Belt Road/Grid road and bridge network will link Lekki-Epe axis with the Ikorodu Mainland, resulting in a massive reduction of Average Commute Time (ACT).
If we all work together with Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, we can Make Èkó Great Again.

I want to profusely thank all the lovers of Lagos, all of whom have refused to major on the minor.
Thank you for the outpouring of love and support. Your encouragement gives me the energy, courage and faith to keep believing that, one day, our country will be great.
As usual, the APC has resorted to its familiar strategy of distraction. Its loudest voices are not talking about the impact of their government on the people of Lagos. They are not telling Lagosians how they have made their lives better. They are not talking about the state of our roads, the worsening flooding, the housing crisis, the lack of reliable public water, the traffic crisis or the growing filth across our city.
Instead, they want us to major on the minor.
They did the same thing in 2023. And despite all their claims, they still resorted to thuggery, intimidation and violence to force their way into office. It was state-sanctioned terrorism using the same culture of thuggery that remains one of the biggest problems confronting ordinary Lagosians today.
Why won’t the APC confront this problem?
Because they depend on the same thugs and the same culture of political violence to force their way into power. When a political party knows that it cannot win the confidence of the people on the strength of its record, it becomes dependent on intimidation and coercion.
Our roads are worse. Flooding has become a bigger problem. Rents have continued to rise, while affordable housing remains grossly inadequate.
They have effectively given up on solving the traffic crisis. Now, instead of admitting failure and fixing the problem, they tell us that traffic is a “lifestyle.”
There is no reliable supply of public water. And in many parts of Lagos, the city is as dirty as it was under Governor Tinubu.
Under Governor Fashola, Lagos was operating more than 1,000 PSP trucks. After more than 12 years, you would expect the system to have expanded significantly. Instead, we are now down to roughly 200 trucks.
Why?
Because the problem is not simply a lack of trucks. It is a system that has been weakened by corruption, poor management and alleged racketeering around diesel, truck leasing and waste collection.
That is why Lagos stinks.
And this is the point I want Lagosians to focus on: we must stop allowing them to change the subject.
The question is not who can shout the loudest. The question is, after all these years in power, have they made Lagos better for the ordinary Lagosian?
That is the conversation we should be having.
That is the conversation they want us to avoid.
And that is exactly the conversation we must continue to have.
Let's make Eko Great Again
Enough of the distractions, Enough of the excuses.
27 years later, I'm not convinced APC has anything new to offer Lagos.
It's time for a Lagos that works, Time to Rise Up and Take back Your Lagos, Our Lagos.
Together, We would Make Èkó Great Again

Wahab, or is it Ẹ̀ṣọ́?
Your vainglorious bragging about the cost of your wristwatches shows exactly what is important to you. The health of Lagosians, clearly, is not. If it were, you would have led with that.
As a matter of personal choice, one made since 1994, I do not wear wristwatches, or any type of bodily adornment for that matter, mainly because I see it as expensive frivolity.
You're free to continue to indulge in frivolity, as long as it's not on the public dime.
What is more important to ALL Lagosians is that you DO YOUR JOB. For as long as you refuse to, I will do my job as a citizen and keep calling you and your demonic @OfficialAPCNg out. No amount of blackmail, personal insults or fabrications will stop me from doing that.
Lagosians, if you want these sleazebags gone from your lives forever, please join hands with @GRVlagos and I to Make Èkó Great Again.

Every now and then, APC affiliates floats weak candidates so as to reduce the votes of the main opposition candidate!
We’ve seen this every election cycle! Go and warm Eba.
@GRVlagos is who everyone is queuing behind in Lagos!
We’ve had solutions to the traffic issues of Lagos prior to the last elections…
Lagos, this time, let’s vote in people that have not only given real thought to the problem of traffic - but have also provided workable solutions to make your life better.
Because your time is not a joke.
Your life is not an anecdote to be made jest of.
And the hours you spend in traffic is no laughing matter.
Vote GRV ; Vote ADC ; Vote for a working Lagos to enhance your LIFESTYLE .
When I was in secondary school, Alhaji Lateef Jakande built thousands of temporary classrooms, which were used to provide access to free education to millions of children who would have otherwise been denied of educational opportunities.
His opponents then derisively called them "poultries", but there were never any actual chickens in them. The free education program continued under Commodore Gbolahan Mudashiru, an indigenous Lagosian from Ikorodu, my hometown. He replaced the makeshift bungalows with more befitting 3 storey classroom blocks across Lagos State within the 18 months that he served.
That was 43 years ago.
In the last 27 years of Tinubu's rulership of Lagos State, under one puppet governor after the other, we have witnessed a steady, deliberate, intentional and deeply diabolical assault on the educational heritage of Lagos State, with no single new school built in 27 years.
The existing schools have been left to rot, to the point now where they are more suitable for habitation by GOATS! It is no surprise, as the rest of Lagos State has been allowed to become one gigantic GARBAGE DUMP.
The incoming @GRVlagos administration will build, staff and equip more new schools than Alhaji Jakande did.
We will provide free access to much higher quality educational opportunities to the children of Lagos State and end the absurd situation where there are 6 times more PRIVATE SCHOOLS than public schools.
Lagosians, the choice you have is clear in the next election: you either vote ADC to give your children better opportunities in life, or you vote for the party that prefers goats in schools than your children.
Please continue to enjoy your weekend.
