To understand where Runway is going, you need to understand two things:

1. Soon everything you see on a screen, and eventually everything a robot sees, will likely be generated on the fly by a model. The frontier is already moving from generating code, language, and content to generating worlds. This is an expansive frontier.

2. If you believe this, you play an infinite game, and that requires a different strategy than a finite one. An underappreciated part of building a company is that the game horizon you choose attracts a distinct kind of person to work on a distinct type of problem.

Which means the people breaking these tools in public every day are not standing downstream of the frontier. They are the part of it that produces signal, which is an odd thing to realise about your own Tuesday afternoon.

@seanward Yes, the industry is adopting it eventually, and the pioneers like @Kavanthekid and @Diesol all come from traditional filmmaking background. So it isn't like great AI films emerged with someone randomly prompting from their laptop. They knew the art, just used a different tool.
