A federal judge has dismissed Art Briles from a Baylor lawsuit claiming “no reasonable jury” could find him responsible. Pretty major court vindication for Briles. Will sports media who canceled Briles even cover this? https://t.co/GbaA6OPKRk
BREAKING: Judge Robert Pitman has dismissed Art Briles and Ian McCaw from the lawsuit, saying the plaintiff did not prove their case against them. Pitman also dismissed gross negligence claims against Baylor, but the Title IX and negligence claims against Baylor still stand.
In 2016, Art Briles was fired in response to a review of Baylor's handling of sexual assault allegations made against students, including football players.
Today, the NCAA said it could not conclude that Briles or Baylor violated NCAA rules. https://t.co/zPqoquczug

The charges in this case got a ton of publicity — and helped get Art Briles fired — but it only took a jury 45 minutes to find this former Baylor football player not guilty of sexual assault.
