I'm just in shock that the ultimate battle over who sets public health policy in Saskatchewan between hundreds of doctors and "guy who dances in his underwear on the corner of Albert & 23rd" was ACTUALLY WON by "guy who dances in his underwear on the corner of Albert & 23rd".🤷😳
Vaccines work (regardless of what you may have heard). Please get vaccinated. Please retweet.

Opioid-sparing pain management has helped shoulder surgeons decrease the use of narcotics with shoulder replacement surgery. Regimens of pre-op Acetaminophen 1000mg PO, Lyrica 100 mg PO and Celebrex 400 mg appear to decrease the use of narcotics.

It’s that time of year when many people start decorating for the holidays. If you are getting on a ladder, remember to always have someone there to help hold the ladder. Falls can be devastating and result in bad shoulder and elbow injuries. Stay safe this year!
#covid19sk will soon overwhelm our healthcare system. Effective leadership from the top will be essential in navigating this disaster. There are 5 things that @PremierScottMoe and Dr. Shahab could do to improve our response: 1/8
"Restriction exemption" program. "Proof of vaccination" program. Whatever you call it, it's a vaccine passport for #AB. FINALLY!
@PremierScottMoe, your turn. #SK is the LAST place in Canada with no mask mandate or passport. Better late than never.
RT if you agree.

F***! #SK still getting POUNDED by Delta.
506 cases today = NEW 1-day record.
Aug 30, 111 in hospital. Today, *225* in hospital. No end in sight.
Would be a GREAT TIME for elected officials @SKGov to DO SOMETHING to help us avoid medical triage!
RT if you agree.

In #SK, we've got:
✅ No vaccine mandate/certificates.
✅ No universal masking in schools (much less all indoor public spaces).
✅ Only 65.7% 1st dose, 58.1% 2nd dose.
✅ No mandated isolation/quarantine.
✅ Contact tracing overwhelmed.
Policy MATTERS. Hope we get on it fast.
Paul Merriman calls anti-mask rallies "ridiculous".
What's *even more ridiculous* is our government not ordering law enforcement to stop gatherings that openly mock public health orders, spread dangerous misinformation, & put children at risk. #COVID19SK

Discovered my #YQR ICU colleague crying as she wrote 'compassionate' orders for a COVID+ person, infected in workplace. She confessed was 1st time she had ever shed tears for a patient. We both cried together. Young family @ bedside, saying goodbye. Every life matters. #COVID19SK
In this month’s JSES, two separate metanalyses concluded no difference in outcomes between tenotomy and tenodesis of the long head biceps tendon. https://t.co/rXxbHnOZLm and https://t.co/y5CJ5pN0LB
Saskatchewan now up to 280 likely variant cases. 70 confirmed + 210 presumptive from SNP testing. That's 247 in Regina and a sprinkling around the province.
It's too late to be contained to Regina.
(My first ever tweet, be gentle.)
COVID-19 in Regina area probably 80-90% caused by VoCs. Surprised this is not getting more attention - is there any jurisdiction in Canada with this high a proportion of cases caused by VoCs?
