AND THE LIST GOES ON I LOVE HIMMMM
Hello, this is BTS's Suga.
First, I'd like to sincerely congratulate the opening of the Min Yoongi Treatment Center. I'm so happy that a dedicated space has been established for social therapy through music.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the director, director of the children's hospital, Professor Cheon Geun-ah, the therapists, and all the staff, including the ensemble, who worked hard for this opening. With the construction of the new children's ward, we will be transformed into an even more spacious and excellent facility.
Until then, I hope this space will be the starting point of a great step forward, a small hope that demonstrates the power of music. Thank you.
Actor Gong Yoo on episode 2 of Wook Talk:
“I think BTS is doing something that is just amazing. They are enhancing the prestige of our nation. I think these kinds of things are so unique, only culture can accomplish it. Without music, just how bleak would our world be?”
It just makes even more sense that during ITS yoongi was reading the book "almond", about a 16 year old boy who cannot feel any emotion. He has a smaller 'amygdala', the part of our brain that is activated when we feel fear and anger which is also 'Almond' shaped+
Yoongi didn’t just donate money. He didn’t just attach his name to a cause. He met with Professor Cheon last year, discussed this in depth, co-developed the MIND program, volunteered for months- every weekend from March to June- to test it himself. He played instruments with the kids, guided them through rhythm, helped them open up, and witnessed their growth firsthand.
One child, previously non-verbal, began responding to praise and connecting with peers. That's the power of presence.
This was a deeply thought-out, emotionally invested effort from someone who has consistently shown how much he cares about mental health.
This is what artistry means. Not just music on a stage, but music used to build bridges between people. Between feelings. Between society and those too often left out of it.
His name is Min Yoongi. And this is the kind of legacy he’s building.
