I read that 2 years after publishing the Road Traffict Act, on June 1st 2020, signals to give way to cyclist in existing toucan crossings should have appeared and, yet, there are still plenty of toucan crossings with no signals. Do you have a plan to fix this?

@hepofi @HelsinkiKymp @helsinki @hepo from those articles, I read that yours Henni Ahvenlampi and Reeta Putkohen, from the city of Helsinki, both state that when the marks are on the road with no vertical signs the cyclist is still the one that has to give way.

@HelsinkiKymp @helsinki If it is the first, I'd suggest to extend the zebra crossing all over the old toucan crossing to avoid the confusion, really.

@HelsinkiKymp @helsinki With that answer now I will have a harder time saying when it is a toucan cross which was "removed" but it still clearly you can feel the marks or it is a toucan cross that it's just not well maintained and almost completely faded.

I was expecting "vertical signals should have been placed" but instead it is "toucan marks on the road should have been removed".

It really feels like somebody should get their priorities straight and favor cycling traffic over motorized one ...

@helsinki Also, if there are no signs yet, an existing toucan crossing mens that drivers have to give way to cyclists and 90% of the time, this is not respected. @SuomenPoliisi I see that you have a campaign ongoing to control the crossing rules. Are you paying attention to this?
