🤔 Ever tried creating custom Lists for Workspaces in ServiceNow?
It’s easier than you think—here’s a quick breakdown 👇
1️⃣ Go to UI Builder and open the Workspace where you want to add your list (e.g., SOW Workspace).
2️⃣ Navigate to the List page (usually named List SNC).
🎯 Want to control who can see your Lists?
Head back to UI Builder, and explore:
✔️ Applicability – Create an Audience (specific user groups/roles)
✔️ M2M Applicability – Add a new record and map your list to the audience for dynamic visibility control (refer to Images)
3️⃣ To customize these views, explore the following Page Collections in UI Builder:
🔹 CSM Default Record Post Detail (for Case)
🔹 CSM Interaction Record Post Detail (for Interaction)
Have you tried using the Customer Central plugin in your workspace?
#NowPlatform
1️⃣ Install the Customer Central plugin
➤ This enables two essential tabs:
🔹 Customer Information
🔹 Customer Activity
2️⃣ These tabs automatically appear on the Interaction and Case forms—only if Contact Information is filled in.
🚀 Want to display Customer Information and Customer Activity in your CSM or FSM Workspace In #ServiceNow ?
Let me show you how I achieved this in a recent use case 👇

When to Use It (and When NOT To)
✅Use when:
• Avoiding recursive Business Rules
• Preventing unwanted workflows/notifications
❌ Avoid when:
• You expect other Business Rules or flows to trigger
• You're in before Business Rules — let SN auto-save
#ServiceNow
Prevent Recursive Business Rules
Quick #ServiceNow tip: Never use current.update() in before Business Rules!
Why?
It causes the Business Rule to call itself again → infinite loop
👇
Use current.setWorkflow(false) only with intentional logic
Quick #ServiceNow tip: What does current.setWorkflow(false); do? 🤔
It prevents:
• Business Rules
• Notifications
• Workflows
…from running when you update the record programmatically.

🚫 Don’t use “Field Scripts” in UI Policies , They’re hard to debug, affect performance, and reduce maintainability.

💡 Struggling with UI Policies in #ServiceNow?
Here's a quick thread on practical tips & real mistakes to avoid, based on project experience + best practices 👇
#ServiceNowDeveloper#NowPlatform
💡UI Policy vs Data Policy?
UI Policy → client-side (browser only)
Data Policy → server-side (works via APIs, imports too)
Use Data Policies for data integrity across sources.
💡 Tip: Want to make sure users can’t bypass rules via REST API?
Use a Data Policy, not a UI Policy.
