Companies are latching on to meme formats to relate to younger consumers. The importance of internet culture is more than ever in this day and age. Luckily, Burger King is able to do it without being problematic. #mediamakersix
cashier: thank you, enjoy
my brain:

@chrisphom @nowthisnews It really demonstrates how much of an emphasis we, as consumers, place on 'brand names' and how sometimes quality is not our top priority. #mediamakersix
Teenagers are now using Instagram as a platform for events instead of Facebook. Is this really the beginning of the end for the social media platform? #mediamakersix
lesson from teen cousins who live in LA: when teens have big parties they make a new insta account ~for the party~ and people have to request to follow it, and an approval means you can come to the party??? and you have to show your insta to get into the party (there is security)
Super interesting how many young people are turning to Twitter to keep updated on news and political events. Are regular news and media channels dissolving because of this online presence? #mediamakersix
@jeffreeen @Jessica_Lin_24 This is actually a great example of 'outrage marketing.' If you look up reactions to this, few people are actually offended as it's more reminiscent of a 'Victorian Era' hairstyle. News outlets and companies know that politics is 'in' so they try and create a buzz. #mediamakersix
Sometimes people can be scared to reach out and ask for help. Just sending someone a message to ask how they're doing can make a huge difference. #BellLetsTalk#YURL
#BellLetsTalk because the conversation doesn't and shouldn't stop after today. Mental health is something that needs to be destigmatized and we can all do our part ๐ #YURL
