@myogiadityanath,
Sir, I would like to raise a concern regarding an incident that occurred with me in Prayagraj (Preetam Nagar area). I am attaching the challan copy and video related to the incident for review.
I had stopped my bike on the side of the road for about 5 minutes to get golgappas packed. A traffic police officer approached and issued a challan. I was carrying and provided my Driving Licence and other vehicle documents when asked. However, the challan was issued with the reason "Driving Licence Not Provided", which is incorrect.
As per the challan, the officer involved was Kapil Dwivedi from Dhoomanganj, Prayagraj. I request the authorities to verify all facts using the attached records and any available official body-camera/CCTV footage.
My concerns are:
• The challan mentions "Driving Licence Not Provided" despite my having shown the licence.
• Other vehicles parked in a similar manner nearby were not acted against. Rules should apply equally to everyone.
• When I questioned the inconsistency, I was told, "Aap mujhe batayenge ki kiska challan karna hai?"
• I informed the officer that I had valid insurance, though I did not have the details readily available at that moment. Instead of helping verify the information through available systems, the interaction became confrontational.
• During the interaction, I felt intimidated by verbal warnings that my vehicle could be seized and that I could be taken to the police station, despite my cooperation and willingness to provide documents.
• The road at the location is currently under development with ongoing road and sewage work. There were potholes and construction-related obstructions, yet proper barricading and traffic management measures were not visible. Citizens are already facing inconvenience due to the road conditions.
I am not against traffic enforcement. If I violated a rule, I am willing to pay the challan. My concern is that enforcement should be fair, factual, and respectful.
As a law-abiding citizen and taxpayer, I expect transparency, accountability, and equal treatment under the law. I request the concerned authorities to review the attached evidence, verify the challan details, and take appropriate action if any procedural irregularity is found.
