Oscar 2023 Backlash!

Spoke at “Oscar’s Human Rights award Ceremony” organized by China Democracy Party & Federation of Democracy China with attendance of well known Human Rights luminaries.

We cannot ignore Oscar’s choice of actor #DonnieYen who supports the oppressive #CCP regime and it’s human rights violations. The entertainment industry and #Hollywood must take a stand against complicity with authoritarian regimes and avoid glorifying HR atrocities by giving a global platform to CCP mouth piece like Donnie.

Today in a powerful act of solidarity with the #GlobalDayOfAction over 12 #HumanRights orgs raised the Tibetan Nat’l Flag outside the LA Chinese Consulate to denounce 75 yrs of CCP repression. Speakrs also protested two French museums for bowing to CCP propaganda.

The Resolve Tibet Act has officially become law!
President Joe Biden signed the Promoting a Resolution to the Tibet-China Dispute Act, earlier today. The law states that it is American policy that the Tibet issue must be resolved in accordance with international law.

Why Free Tibet? Just look into the eyes of this young Tibetan girl, the pain, anguish, and affliction are undeniable. Her story is just one of the 6M Tibetans that remind us of the importance of supporting a nation that is being wiped from the face of the earth. With 159 self-immolations, Tibetans are desperately crying out for help. World leaders must take action now to stop the #CCP from its ultimate goal of Sinisization and destruction of this unique and beautiful culture/people.

A young boy abducted by the #CCP over 28 years ago, who is still MISSING. Why is the world media and the influencers more interested in sensationalizing and sexualizing a harmless interaction between the #DalaiLama and a child, rather than demanding to learn about the Panchen Lama's whereabouts?
Why isn't the World media, social influencers & Child welfare NGOs paying attention to his disappearance?
We must prioritize #humanrights and real issues at hand over clickbait headlines.

Appreciate the demand in strongest language by Indian parliamentary legislators and local leaders for an immediate investigation into the recent defamatory viral media circulation about a doctored video involving HH the @DalaiLama and a child.
It's crucial to ensure due diligence and thorough research on the part of the media and social influencers before sharing such content. Media and social influencers worldwide has lost any regard to journalistic ethics and downstream consequences. Stricter regulation and punitive action is needed in Indian legislation and the journalistic World to control such libel and derogatory publishing by the media and social influencers.
