The irony is hard to miss. Since its very inception, Pakistan’s political narrative has often been built around opposition to India. Three full-scale wars, the Kargil conflict, and decades of support for cross-border terrorism have done far more damage to Pakistan’s interests than any imagined Indian campaign ever could.

India’s partnerships with countries around the world are based on shared interests, just as Pakistan is free to pursue its own relationships. The real question is why successive Pakistani military establishments have found confrontation with India more useful than economic development, and prosperity for their own people.

Pakistan’s economy was not undermined by India, Israel, Russia, or the United States. It has suffered from decades of political instability, repeated military interference in governance, and security policies that prioritized strategic rivalry over national development.

The uncomfortable reality is that Pakistan’s establishment has long treated hostility towards India as a political and strategic necessity and tool. Time and again, anti-India rhetoric has been used to justify military dominance, divert attention from internal failures, and preserve entrenched interests.

Nations rise by building industries, institutions, and opportunities for their people, not by sustaining a permanent state of confrontation with a neighbour.

The Turkish Foreign Minister’s remarks fail to acknowledge the broader context of India–Turkey relations. India has consistently viewed Turkey as an important partner and has extended support in times of need, including swift humanitarian assistance during the devastating earthquakes of 2023.

India has no objection to any country maintaining friendly relations with Pakistan. However, concerns arise when such engagement acquires an overtly anti-India dimension. Repeated references to Kashmir by President Erdoğan at international forums, statements made during visits to Pakistan, Turkey’s activism on the issue in multilateral bodies, defence cooperation with Pakistan, and the amplification of narratives hostile to India have all contributed to strains in the relationship.

India has no objection to countries maintaining friendly relations with Pakistan, provided such engagement is not directed against India’s core interests and sovereignty.

If India is going to be resentful about any country having good relations with Pakistan, there are many such countries.

We have no problem on a bilateral level with India and we urge India not to read the issue from a different perspective.

BREAKING | A four-storey building collapsed in Delhi’s Karawal Nagar area.

According to Delhi Police, cracks developed in the structure due to ongoing drain construction work nearby. The building was evacuated immediately after the cracks were noticed.

The building collapsed shortly after being vacated. No injuries have been reported.

Cabinet approves Price Stabilization Fund for Scheduled Indian Airlines towards ATF pricing

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved one-time budgetary support not exceeding Rs.10,000 crore for Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to provide ATF price stabilisation support to Scheduled Indian Airlines for their domestic and international operations. The budgetary support shall be in the form of interest-free advances to OMCs through the Demands for Grants of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The support shall be provided to OMCs to facilitate stable ATF pricing for airlines during the ongoing period of exceptional fuel price volatility arising from the West Asia crisis.

Despite global energy uncertainty and rising LPG prices, India continues to keep cooking gas affordable for households. Under the Ujjwala Yojana, beneficiaries receive a ₹300 subsidy, making a 14.2 kg cylinder available at around ₹613, even though its actual cost is nearly ₹1200.

The policy has helped over 10 crore families access clean cooking fuel, reflecting India’s focus on balancing market realities with social welfare and consumer protection.

#Watch | वैश्विक ऊर्जा बाजार में लगातार बढ़ती अनिश्चितता और एलपीजी कीमतों में उछाल के बावजूद भारत ने घरेलू उपभोक्ताओं को राहत देना जारी रखा है। सरकार की नीति के तहत रसोई गैस को आम परिवारों के लिए किफायती बनाए रखने पर विशेष जोर दिया गया है। 14.2 किलोग्राम घरेलू एलपीजी सिलेंडर की वास्तविक आपूर्ति लागत लगभग ₹1200 तक पहुंचने के बावजूद उज्ज्वला योजना के लाभार्थियों को ₹300 सब्सिडी के बाद यह लगभग ₹613 में उपलब्ध हो रहा है।

भारत की तुलना में पड़ोसी देशों में एलपीजी की कीमतें अधिक अस्थिर और कहीं-कहीं ज्यादा महंगी हैं, जबकि भारत में उपभोक्ता संरक्षण मॉडल के तहत कीमतों को संतुलित रखा गया है। इस नीति के चलते 10 करोड़ से अधिक उज्ज्वला लाभार्थियों सहित करोड़ों परिवारों को स्वच्छ ईंधन का सीधा लाभ मिल रहा है, भले ही तेल विपणन कंपनियों पर भारी वित्तीय दबाव बना हुआ हो।

यह मॉडल स्पष्ट करता है कि भारत की ऊर्जा नीति का फोकस केवल बाजार नहीं, बल्कि आम नागरिक की पहुंच और सामाजिक सुरक्षा भी है।

According to Dr. Mohapatra, June 2026 may witness below normal rainfall across India, with seasonal rainfall now projected at 90% of the Long Period Average (LPA), lower than the earlier forecast of 92%.
