Yesterday, an elected official asked me if my cane was “for show.”
Years ago that comment - in the midst of a work event in front of others - would’ve embarrassed and upset me. Now it angers me beyond words at those we elect & knowing how many of us deal with this everyday.
@Mr_Planner_2u@openthegreathwy I guess u didn't read the remark. Have you walked in those shoes? You'd better hope you don't end up diagnosed with MS or end up with other debilitating illness or disease.
Thank you for supporting Yes on I no on J! We are looking forward to Tuesdays results. It’s not too late to vote and it’s not too late to reach out to your friends to do the same. It’s important! Vote Yes on Prop I and choose the inclusive vote!
@Scott_Wiener I believe the park can be safe and enjoyed by all-motorists, bikes and pedestrians like-if rules are adhered to and enforced. Why punish those who rely on cars? I voted #YESOnI because I believe in INCLUSION and SHARING.
@Scott_Wiener If you are a senior or have mobility issues vote for I. It’s embarrassing that a state senator, supposedly representing all of us, would be so overtly partisan. Traffic never “sped by” in GGP. In fact it’s the cyclists & the riders violating the rules of the road. Y on I, N J&L
@MsMaggieMayhem@openthegreathwy@jjlasne I'm referring to 2 different roads: the Great Highway and JFK Drive. People coming across town save a good 20 mins if they can go west to come north via the Great Hwy.
